decent base color?

It's Bauhaus Gold by Krylon.......thought I'd give it a shot. I think after weathering and some washes I'll be a bit happier........
What say the experts?

looks pretty good! are you doing ESB or ROTJ? for ESB, the right shoulder, the one dented more, is more of an orange color...and the left one is more yellow...they look pretty good for ROTJ or SE..

Helmet in the back is an ESB so I guess ROTJ is out of the game ... ;-)

Still have alot of work to do, but I'm happy so far. I think the color is OK, not perfect, but I'm working on changing the hue a bit with the pastels and whatnot. I like the thickness of the 6mm sintra much more than the 3 mm stuff - think it gives the armor a little more depth. I'll never paint by artificial light again..........I'll tell you that. Colors look good and then in daylight they get wonky. Shoulda bought a decal from one of you fine gents too.......silly trying to paint that by hand. I may have to strip em down.

look great to me and for painting the skull by hand I must say you did an awsome job on it, i traced a skull cut it out with a razor blade and sprayed mine,but yours looks more authentic i think great job

nice! i've been using rustoleum line striping yellow... similar color, but it's an inverted can, so it's a pain in the rear to use! (it only sprays when the can is upside down!)

is that a regular color at lowes / home depot, or did you get it someplace fancy?

If I'm not mistaken, aren't these the ROTJ shoulders?

Yeah I picked up the can at Walmart so I guess it shouldn't be too hard to find. Still fidgeting with some washes to get the hue right.
I'm doing the SE fett....so they are the ROTJ shoulders.
