    correct shape for chest armour

    Hey i am starting phase two of my build and making my own armour from scratch is there a good reference pic of how the shape( not template im using wof for that!) but curvature etc so i can get my pieces to sit right and look accurate? Anyone have any advice or tips for moulding sintra. Right now i am using a heat gun and molding by hand.

    The best reference pics are in the gallery. Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of just the armor from all different angles, but you should get a good sense of it if you study a lot of the different angles from the reference photos. Also, if you have or can get your hands on the Blu Ray there is a full 360 degree torso rotation that has armor and flak vest. The armor parts on this Blu Ray bonus feature are from various versions, but I believe all of the shapes should match.

    3-4 mm seems about right to me. Most vac-formed or fiberglass armor will have a lip to it to make it look thicker. You can simulate this by beveling the edge of the plates.

    JS have a look at FP's site, this is how I have shaped my armour, plus make sure you have the flak vest to get it sized up correct and shape, I will be trying that soon with chest plates I have done, hope that may help.
