Why are "his" boots a picture of CA boots? If that's what he is selling, he's making a $69 profit for being a middle man. I saw that picture of the gauntlets on ebay, hopefully he is the seller

mmm.. i don't know... the "level of quality" of his goods is too uneven for my trust.. good looking jet pack and gauntlets but (excuse the term) amateur grade armor.. mmm.. smells fishy..

that and the $69 profit of the CAboots...

i got an item from him through ebay that should be here any day now. i myself am at a very entry level in here (i just started gathering the parts for my first boba project). i am however very into fineart and being a designer right now i know quality and the pics looked ok that i saw. im not sure if there has been problems with his stuff before, but i'll keep you posted when i get my stuff and let everyone know how it is.

I got a set of his shin tools, and am quite happy with them! Very nice casts : )

Only reason for dissapointment was that they are one sided casts. It's really not a huge problem, as they stay down in the shin pockets most of the time, but sculpting a back side would add a little more realism.

I got a jet pack becon and stabilazer from him they wern't bad, not the greatest casts in the world but I have seen much worse so I would give it about 7 out of 11 (11 is louder then 10 of course). If I needed other parts I would consider about going back to him again.

Yeah i make the shin tools one sided, because one they are always in the pockets, plus keeps cost down, and keep them affordable, the more work that goes into something the higher the price will be. Such as being double sided.

of course, I didn't say that the shippement is too slow . Shippements overseas take a lot of time.
I'm just saying that I will share my opinion of the quality of the gauntlets.

For the moment I can say that the services of Bloodsportstudios is very good, good communication, fast shipping , .... But I cannot talk about products, but I will

Gee...that's kinda over the top don't you think? It's not like he said..."gauntlets STILL haven't arrived" All he said was that he would review the product once he received it. I would generally avoid smarting off to my eBay customers before Feedback is left. But that's just me.

BSS, I believe Eskilax's use of the word 'commanded' didn't translate well in context. He meant that he 'won' the gauntlets on eBay. I don't think he was insinuating anything.

Remember, English is not everyone's first languange on this board...

Right, ... I just want to say that I won (and i'm really happy :p)...
This is not a "french/English" post... but what's the meaning of "command" if it's not "purchase" or "won" ? (it seems to be a "false-friend" lol)

command can mean to order(as in To purchase, exchange money for goods) or to order(as in Tell someone to do something now!) You should use the word "order" instead of command to avoid confusion

I misunderstood "commanded" just sounded a little demanding just alittle difference of culture. lol no harm done, i learned something new myself, the next time i hear that phrase from a foreign customer ill look at it a little more light hearted lol. just that the forum kind of hit off on the wrong foot to begin with, and why i dont know, but if everyone observes my feedback on ebay everyone had really enjoyed my items, with no complaints, ive noticed the forum has a lot of critics, ill just say dont knock my stuff till youve tried it.

It's all what you make of it. I've seen a set of BSS ROTJ stock greeblies and maybe they're not perfect casts, but they're darn close enough to work from to create a really awesome part out of a so-called entry level part. If you want "perfect," get the found parts. In no way a slam on BSS's work, but an imperfect kit is just an opportunity to show your skills. Learn the ways of the Xacto.

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

I've just received my bracers by mail today.
    And I'm disappointed.

What I got is not what is shown on the website.

As you can see the down piece of the bracers are not moulded (sculpted), this is just a curved piece of plastic. Some pieces are so heavy that I think that the bracers will broke when I attach it.

When I command the bracers, the picture that showed the 15 pieces was different, and show clearly that the down pieces are moulded... Now the picture has changed ( ) but the picture in the manual I get with gauntlets is the old one (if someone thinks I dreamed :p I can scan it)

I'm happy that the picture on the website has changed (for next customers), if I had seen this picture before, I will not have ordered my gauntlets there.

But I have to admit that the communication with Bloodsportstudios is very good and the shipment very fast.

(this is MY advice :p) a newbie of jango.

I would think If you're gonna do something like that, at least get a friend to do it for you, no ? and well, maybe not seem so obvious about it too..

That's one reason why this is my favorite forum.. Everyone's kept in check pretty good around here..

Im just wandering why this guys shin tools are one sided?

There is one other person on this board I know who made 1 sided shin tools. That person is a very respected board member, and I have spoke to him about this.

    1st off...

He clearly uses pictures that AREN'T his, then only when its brought up, he changes it (EX: The CA boots suspiscions arose, the pics left his site, 2, the gaunlet braces arise, the pics leave).

Its really hard for me to NOT point fingers when its pretty blatant that this guy is not only falsely advertising, but with the "poor casts" he sells and his Ultra Defensive attitude and sockpuppet accounts.

Makes me wander if this guy has been buying up some RTV silicone and Resin in bulk quantities...

A sock puppet account is an account controled by another user on the same board. The user is able to express hir or her views through the other account with out any reference to the actual user. Just like a sock puppet. (you know.. stick your hand in a sock and make it say funny things while moving your fingers) It's a dual identity thing...

In this case BloodSportStudios had created another account under the alias Bobafettgirl and was giving reviews of his own products/goods.

PS. There are no stupid questions on TDH.. only stupid answers. (i hope that this one doesn't fall into that category)

I actually owned a set of one sided tools & they were pretty thick casts. I don't know who the original maker was since I purchased them second hand here. I never really gave it much thought as to why they were one sided since it is much easier to make a one sided mold & cast them that way.

    Two Questions:

1.Was bloodsportstudios Banned for RECASTING?? OR just Sock-puppet accounts???
2.And HAS ANYONE bought his JP:jet pack or his Gaunlets?? I mean are these all recasts he sells on EBAY??
I'm looking to buy his shintools and just wanted more input from those that have already bought from him........as he does have good feed back.

and just an FYI I am in NO WAY wanting to start a recast debate....just want valued info on his Gaunlets, JP and shin tools....THANKS

    That's two NO's..........
    it doesn't look good....

I know he's sold a few JP:jet pack on ebay, is there anyone here that bought one from him...?????

I know I know.....the old saying, "you get what you pay for". But I'm like everyone else....if I can get it cheaper and it's pretty decent, with just a little work involved....heck I can work with that...
But if it's just plain "****"????....that's what I'm looking for and would be most worried about before buying from him....

    Thanks for responding..

I also got a beacon and stabilizer from him. Arrived in a week and a half. Same thing you said Spidey. Decent cast. Nothing a little cleanup and paint can't fix.

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

I got my guantlets from him. I'm pleased with them. Everytime I emailed him, he got back to me within a day, 2 at the most. They will work fine for me. Of course they're not 100% screen accurate, but that doesn't matter to me. I also got my 1/8" sintra armor from him. Looks good to me. The cod piece had to be cut up and completely redone to get all the levels and curves along the inner legs. With the exception of the curve for the waist, it's flat with another piece to layer on top for the height. I spent a few hours and made a new one that looks correct. The knees needed a little work, again it's bent sintra. Put another layer on it, sand it and they'll work. I originally got Boba darts for the knees. Sent him an e-mail, mailed me the correct Jango dart.

I've had no problems, and with some modifications to some of the parts, they'll work just fine for my needs. Never seen the jet packs, but in one of his e mails he said they would be light weight. That's all I know. I got a good deal on :jet pack from Cruzer. (thanks Cruzer)!

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

Well I know that he states in his auction for the Jet Packs that it's a "presale" auction so no one has received them yet.

Also I believe Eskilax purchased and received the gauntlets from him, and they were of low quality.

I especially like this statement from his gauntlet auction " Buy from the original maker of resin guantlet kits Since 2002, any others out there are recasts of my work!!" Now I'm not positive that they are recasts, but claiming that any others out there are is just a bit shady. He's also been a member on ebay since May-06-05

    THANKS....
SO I guess if you like a little "elbow grease" involved like i do then his stuff is, at most, "Decent"? Would that be a good word? Or how bout "USEABLE"??

Still interested in his JP....I think I'll shot him a "Question for Seller."

    THANKS ALL:thumbup

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

This guy is a loon from all the PMs I've gotten about him and the quality of work I've watched change on his website.

I often just to web searches and ebay searches for new Fett sellers and I cannot tell you how many times I encounter some recaster that is posting pictures directly from here! and other costumign forums.

The first red flag was he was selling CA boots on his website for $169.
Now, if you can't do math, he's making a monster profit on those.

And his jet pack? I wouldn't doubt if he's posting pictures of the on he is recasting, because that definately seems like the issue here.

I hate when threads degerate into sock puppet and recasting accusations but there is some very solid proof here that he is recasting or reselling others works.

    1. 1 sided shin tools. Because it's a way for the ones he recasts to not look like the originals, and it's faster.
    2. Presell auctions are showing false images
    3. His statements about being an originator and other people are recasting his work?!? lol. that's very very....dumb to have to back yourself on
    4. only sock puppet account praises, because any real people thought his work was so so, or shifty
etc. Just review this thread, the guy is not a safe bet.

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

In my own experiences, I'd give a 6-7 out of 10 rating. That's just my opinion. Would I buy from him again? Didn't have a problem the 1st time, probably, depending on the item. I got a fair amount of product at a resonable price, for someone who's not interested in being 100% screen accurate.

No, I don't know the guy.

    Re: Bloodsport Studios

I do own a set of his shin tools. They are marginal IMO. They are 1 sided, and need some work to look good. The squeegie is pretty cadi-waumpis, and it is a solid piece. I would give them a 7 out of 10. There are only 3 as well. It took about 3 1/2 weeks for my stuff to arrive. A little long IMO. If you want some pics, let me know.

I bought one of his cod pieces and am very happy with it. It arrived just as he said on his site. It needs a little clean up work and customization but, I'm doing a custom mando anyways. Just my 2cents worth.

If anyone buys from this person, don't come crying to TDH! There is plenty of good artist here to deal with, not that shotty recaster that was banned for being a butt puppet.
