Another Cod Piece Question

If a cod piece were set on a level surface upside down -crotch point up- should the front of the cod - the part with the dent- be 90 degrees to the level surface?

could you post a picture of what you are talking about? might help out a bit...=) trying to picture that, and honestly, i would think the front of the cod should be flat on the ground...?? need to see a pic...

I wouldn't think so... I've never exactly done that test, but I'd assume you'd want the cod to stick forward a bit. There are... things... down there... and you need room for them
