Aluminum ESB Flame Thrower Interest Thread

Well,
I was going to wait until I had the first one finished, but I thought I would go ahead and see if any one is interested in one of these. This one is for a member here and should be done this week. I still need to mill the middle and end pieces.
Anyway, just seeing if anyone is interested in something like this. If this snags on someone or something its NOT going to break like a resin one would :lol .
This is an interest thread, post here if you wold like one of these. I'll start an "official" list if enough people are in.

Price is a Big factor here but I am interested IF it doesn't cost as much as one of those machined missles. Theyr'e beautiful and all but....

They will come fully assembled and ready to "Beat-up" to your taste.

This was a thread to see if anyone was down for one of these to start off with and WOW.........I was going to make these by hand but if there are that many of you that want them, I going to run them through the shop to keep the price down and the turn time on the NOW plan.

So, that being said I need at least 10 or more people that are in to make this happen. I submitted the paper work to my quote guy today so I should have a price for you all soon.

Ok,
Here are some pics with the middle piece on it. I still need to make the large part for the back but this kinda gives you an idea of what I'm shooting for. There will also be a button head screw in the shortest rods end on the milled part.

Sorry about the lack of a price, but I'm waiting on a quote for labor and material so I can give a killer price on these that will make everyone happy :)and keep this thing in a reasonable price range.
The length is 8 3/4 inches from the tip of longest rod to the end of the main body where the holes for the wires are, (not made yet :doh ) will be done monday.

I believe so.......This is my ROTJ Ruffkin. I drew the remaining piece that needs to be made for size reference. The complete flamethrower will be 8 3/4"

sorry my old costume parts (quality painted guants included didn't go on ebay for half that) and the wife said I can only use the money I get from my stuff for costumes. Looks great but I can't do it at this time. Looks like you'll have more than enogh takers for my spot though.

That is VERY reasonable guys. VERY !!!!!

Keep in mind, that 4 years ago, when our own BobaPhett came out with his FIRST AMAZING aluminum flame thrower, they were going for $250 or higher.

So, that being said ... this is VERY reasonable. There is a lot of detail in these pieces, and the assembly is another thing :)

$120 sounds very fair, but a bit out of budget at the moment. Just getting all the soft parts for my son's outfit and that is going to set me back just a little bit for now.

Yes, it is based of of WOF's templates, "used with his permission" and he will be recieving one free of charge. I made a few VERY minor changes to get more detail into it.

5.6 oz.

I have one of my missles on mine and it weighs 12.6 oz. and I have no problems with it :) .

No brass on this piece. Trying to keep the cost and weight down.

The brass parts can probably be achieved by using Rub'n'Buff. I'm pretty sure they had a brass finish available. I think we've all seen the power of Rub'n'Buff tested on the Jango's out there. ;)

As promised, here is a pic with the last block on it.

The only thing its missing is the little button head screw that goes into the top hole of the smaller front block. My plan is to get the material ordered up mid to end of next week. Shortly after, start rolling on these. The three holes in the back are for the wires to go into. The side of both blocks have threaded holes in them so you can mount it to your plate. The length is right at 9 inches. I had to turn the flash off because the thing is so shiny. It tuned into a fuzz ball in the pic :lol .

I'm actually looking into making up a bunch from aluminum as we speak (thanks to Prymer and Laan's pressure.. ;) ).
