I looked at one on starwars.com. it wasn't enough though
I believe that there is an albino Fett in the 501st legion all ready.Originally Posted by InfraFett

Hm, I like that one. How hard would it be to get that?
Yes there is one in the 501st, very cool thinking about building one myselfOriginally Posted by GCNgamer128
Hey Infra PM sent.
Thanks, I'm working on a custom now though. I talked to the army surplus store manager and my suit SHOULD be there next week
Oh, and yeah that guy has a great hoth Mando too. it gives me ideas for more weathering
I'm accually quite far along now on the Mcquarrie prepro helmet. I've scapped the old build up like you see on Geo's pic and have totally rebuilt the whole helmet. I should be ready to post some pics with in the week.
Nice, I really look forward to that.Originally Posted by MARROW SUN

I haven't seen that one around. is that albino fett considered to be canon?
Ummm...what do you mean by it being "canon"?
George is next to it... it's a canon pre-pro I guess...
And these are pre pro in the real sense
I think the last one might not be cannon (anyone???)
The 3 pics you showed, the first two are the pre-pro2 suit, the most commonly known pre-pro suit, the 3rd pic is of the pre-pro1 suit also known as the eyes suit. I am one of the only known people to have a completed Pre-pro suit, (pre-pro2). As far as anyone in the 501st is concerned any of the known pre-pro suits would be considered cannon.
Just FYI there is a pre-pro3 suit also. Very few pics of that suit exist there are a few in the original Chronicles book.
Does the Albino Fett have a pre-pro designation? Man O War's recent "Hoth" fett which is very close to the Albino Fett just more weathered and with ROTJ gauntlets and belt, it was informally turned down for 501st recognition.
Good friend of mine bought the MOW Hoth Fett and it is sweet just not canon apparently. From a couple weeks ago -

Nice!
I love the all-white fett... that rocks!

So what if this costume was turned down by the 501st . . it still looks totally awesome. A weathered white pre-pro is the look I'm going for with my bobamaker paintjob I think. Somehow a Fett helmet just doen't look the same without weathering lol.
**** guys. I really like the Albino Fett ronin posted. I'm tempted to work on that one. a couple guys in the Southen Outpost told me Boba Fett is WAY OUT of my league and that I should just do a custom. I'm liking the albino Fett though, yet I would think it's just as hard as the movie versions, and this is a bit out of my way too, no?
Well...

in this case, they are pictures of Fett how he might have looked, so it counts for canon.
So, ... the informal responce to my Hoth/ Preproduction Stlye Fett was:
"It's the LMO's call of course, but because it was a work in progress, and not the final approved design used in the film, I would say that it wouldn't qualify for membership. Otherwise we'd have to accept every pre-production costume sketch of Vader, Stormtroopers and other characters to be consistent."
I have yet to formally submit it to the 501st, but there does seem to be another "white " Fett already official in the 501st bounty hunter members, ...don't know if he was grand fathered in? It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other as I already have a few "Canon" 501st costumes, and the sun doesn't rise and set in the 501st. I got the Hoth Fett costume from Man of War because, quite frankly, it kicks arse!!! And Man of War, (Christian) did a fantastic job, the quality it the highest I've seen, and I wanted to do a white pre-production Fett and knew I couldn't come close to competing with the work Christian did!! So, my white helmet off to Christian, you couldn't find a nicer guy to do business with, top notch Fett armor, IMHO.

Can anyone explain what they (George Lucas and team) wer doing with the JEtpack when it was shooting out all that steam
AND, was this going to be Boba Fett, or just another mando?
One of the guys who gives membership told me that they accept pre pro/Albino Fetts. I don't know for sure, yet I guess each outpost/garrison is different. Some will accept pre pros and some won't
As for the jet pack steam, I guess they were testing it and making it look like it was going to blast off and fly
Don't know about the steam, but it wasn't to be Boba Fett at the time, it was to be a team of Super Commandos, ...Stormtroopers.

I guess it was changed to be Boba Fett then..?
does anyone know where I can get the book that has pics of the Albino Fett?
I'm really interested in it now.
Star Wars Chronicles by Deborah Fine, Ebay or Amazon. Not cheap though.

Actually they just re-released that chronicles book, you can get it on Amazon.com for like $100. And while that doens't sound cheap for a book consider that I have seen old copies of that book go for around $400. And it is the holy grail of fett pics.
I took a look at it and it says it only covers the prequals
Star Wars Chronicles for the OT:

Regarding why Fett's costume was all white during intial development:
"At Lucasfilm, Boba Fett was designed by Joe Johnston and Ralph McQuarrie. At an early production stage of The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett's costume had been intended for a squad of supercommandos from the Mandalore system. The troops' white-armored suits were to have been equipped with numerous built-in weapons, including wrist lasers, flying backpacks, and rocket darts. In an interview for Star Wars:The Annotated Screenplays, Joe Johnston recalled, " I designed the final version of Boba Fett. Ralph and I both worked on preliminary designs, and we traded ideas back and forth. Originally, Boba Fett was part of a force we called Super Troopers, and they were these really high-tech fighting units, and they all looked alike. That eventually evolved into a single bounty hunter."
Because there are so few images of the all-white Fett, the costume has been romanticized. While it is unclear exactly what dents on the suit, it is basically an unpainted prepro 1/prepro 3 suit with a different cape.
That hoth fett just plain rocks.I have always liked that look, and I love that the armor,..it is not overly thick.Looks nice and streamlined.
Great Job on it!!!!
I can't ever get enough of the "Original Fett" photos, it's what drew me into TDH and the 501st.
The original pictures are amazing.
I am about to start my white pre-production helmet, so will start a thread this month with some pics

I look forward to seeing it, good luck.
