Hey All,
New to the forum and i want to say i see great work from everyone on here. I had a few questions on my recent build, i am currently taking a jab at the Hasbro helmet for sh#ts and giggles. i cut down the T on the face and every resin or glu i use does not hold. Any suggestions?
Also i see alot of great masking for painting and i read some where (cant find it now) about liquid masking.. what exactly is this?

This helmet looked easy to mod and when this glue and resin wont hold i was ready to send it straight to the pit for sale

Not sure on the glue but masking fluid can be gotten at places like hobby lobby and michaels...sometimes its called liquid frisket, theres a few brands some better then others I like graphlix? I think thats who makes it I normally buy all they have when they get it in as they tend to only have it once and a while its thicker then the other brands so it stays put not runny...its white and can be colored using watercolor.

Dude good luck with that. I ended up using a two part epoxy glue i roughed up both surfaces first with sand paper to give the glue somethibg to bite to. I also reinforced the back of the visor with a coupke of plastic tabs so it wouldnt break. I spent alot of time on this and tried alot of glue this is what worked for me. Check my WIP thread to see what i did to mine.

thanks for the replies gonna have to go to hobby town andd look for the liquid masking...
as for the hasbro helmet.... too fustrated! Also, my 3 year old keeps playing with it and wearing it so im gonna just get it to a point where its wearble and similar colors to Boba and by an Asok helm

Yes he is a great guy, with great service, quick, and provides a really nice product. I have bought several helmets from him, 2 Jangos and 2 Bobas.

One quick question, ive been looking around and found a few spots here and there but what is the order of paint? I guess what i mean is:
Helmet
-primer
-silver
-gray
-Maroon
-red
like that. I want to paint a ESB paint job and paint it with all the layers of color and weather it down lilttle by little..
is this possible?

ESB:

-Mandibles & Key Slot: Silver > Grey > Maroon > Caboose
-Dome & Cheeks: Silver > Grey > Green
-Up. Cheeks: Silver > Grey > Black/Green
-Back: Silver > Grey > Cream > Green
-Right Ear: Dark Grey > Sand
-Left Ear: Red > Green

Ears are suposed to be aluminium and I haven't posted the primmer coat either.

Use masking fluid for the chips of paint, or you can also use toothpaste or mustard, apply the colour, remove the product and voilà.
