That does seem a little 'pink' I thought it was just the flash?

I've always found that colour consistant from the tin, that's weird its come out so pink? Was it over a primer or straight onto the cold cast?

I have used it before on my previous lid and it looked great (see bottom pic). This one, not so.

I have tried to get a more natural pic of the colour for you (taken without a flash). What do you think? I am not sure what i should mix with it to darken it up? btw it went on over the cold cast silver.

It sounds like going straight onto the cold cast has lightened it in some way, i would test the colour you used on another surface, see what it does?

All sorted. I went down to my local craft shop and bought another tin of 73. all I can say is that the last tin must have come from a dodgy batch

Terminal Fettler's colour list stills rocks

Started laying some of the silver down, it looks really wierd without the greys and purple. A lot of the silver needs these others colours weathered over it.

    Anyways see what you think

p.s. i still need to put more silver on the right hand mandible

p.p.s. this time its the flash that has made the wine colour seem pinkish

Thanks Gav I didn't believe that this weathering would take so long

The thing I am scared of doing, is putting the repaired crack into it (where is my dremel )

Started laying down the silver and grey on the mandibles. Its not all done yet but its getting there. I decided to top up the weathering (ie odd bits of red) at the end.

    Purple next
