Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
Pretty sweet man! Youve already said it with the kill stripes but they dont look too bad just a little on the small side. Could you try making them bigger with a finer tip brush or stencil?
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
nice paint job man. and i would have to agree bout the kill srtipes
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
Nice!!!! another idea for the kill stripes might be decals, just apply over the other ones. Thx for sharing!!!
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob

Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
Looks great man good job and those kill stripes can be fixed just use a 0 tipped brush.
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
I think it looks great! Ditto on the stripes, but I haven't even started my costume yet so I can't say too much. I'm really interested in everyone's photos to use for examples.
I'm trying to get all the patterns together before I start any part in particular. If anyone has some tips for this policeman who wants to be Boba, send them on over! zahina@comcast.net
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
That's really nice. I really want to start a helmet, but still researching everything. What did you use to start it?
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
What's up Wood? Hey, nice work on that helmet! :thumbsup ESB is not an easy scheme to paint, but you did a great job, man! Keep us posted if you decide to tackle the kill stripes. What type of helmet is that?
Re: woodmans helmet paintjob
hey guys! Thanks alot for the props! It's a bradleyfett I think, I mean I forgot who it came from but it was 3 vacu-formed pieces so after i got it together I slushed 3
layers of alumilite resin to give it some weight. I had to put the dent in too. today I
sewed ,sewed is that even a word, anyway I made some little pillow like padding
things for the inside. Big News I decided to tackle the killstripes. I taped off the bottom
and resprayed the green top, then printed count dookies paint template a little bigger
than scale, took the x-acto knife and carefully cut out the stripes to make it a spray template, blah blah. anyway this time I also misted some pumpkin orange on the ones toward the back so it would be a closer match and I like the outcome. I also had to repaint the rest of the dome but no big deal only it led me to redo most of the rest also.
Sorry I cant post the photos righjt now because my camera is in my wifes purse in the bedroom and if I try to dig it out she'll kill me! I'll post pics of everything in the morning.
woody!
