Need to install the visor but want to discuss that with Mr Fettfw3 before I do. Got what I feel is a screen version of the helmet....missing some of that MoM damage and wear and tear that's currently present.

Got the inside painted white today and taped the visor in to see how she looked. And she looks GOOOOOD. Now I gotta paint me a new ROTJ bucket lol.

Gonna secure the visor in later after I get home from work.

Visor is installed. I like to secure it with hot glue....this holds much tighter then Chicago screws do as far as over a broader area. This keeps the helmet safer during shipment and travel...and let's be foreal we all want it to be able to do those things for cons! Gonna throw a spare RF on it and take some final pics tomorrow.

Think it came out great. Here's a pic with a stalk I have here I threw on.

And comparison to the real deal. Came pretty close. Obviously no replica is 100% accurate...but I think this came in closer then any other helmet I've done ROTJ so far. The ears came out better then metal ones I did on my own GMH...the back panels came out awesome. The fading under the paint came out just like I wanted. The kill stripes although a pain came out great. Ready to bust out two more! Now that I'm warmed up should be fun.

Got my helmet back from Dom and the paint job is even better when you are holding it in your hands. He's got talent. I was 100% impressed with his work and he always answered any and all my questions.
So if you need paint work done he is the man to get ahold of.

Thanks bud...so glad youre pleased....the iphone doesnt do much justice to anything lol.

intwenothor heres that BMv3 maybe FettFW3 can hook you up with some in detail measurements....mind you the ears are stuck to the helmet like a FP budget.

Thanks, I was just reviewing your pics. The cornering of the orbital band behind the left ear has that kind of soft curve seen on the PP2 derived helmets. The dent possibly also cleaned up PP2 dent with the long flat edge?

Id have to take my stencils (at home) and see how they stack up.... I cant recall how close they were (GMH and BMv3) in scale off the top of my head but I really wish I had take pics of this guy from farther away....learned that taking pics from about 5-6' away gives a much more accurate representation of the shape.

Yes, you're quite right.

The red vertical trim behind the left ear on the MR casts seem to meet the orbital band at a very sharp angle and is quite fat whereas the PP2 based lids seem to have a softer meeting point plus the vertical strip is thinner. Just had a quick look at a couple of helmets and this BM does seem to have some PP2 features on it and dent seems more reworked PP2 than MR by a stretch. I know the older BM helmets, with incorporated wavy brow, seemed to have been regarded as on the smaller side. The earliest PP2 casts I've seen are very much MR sized so just wondering if that could be what this is given your feeling that this was in that MR sized range?
