Where to get a helmet?

New Hunter
Hi there, I'm new to this world of Fett costuming and was wondering if any one could point me in a direction to get a helmet. There's so much information, it's a little daunting to say the least. Thanks. :confused

You can wait till one comes up in the cargo hold or contact a maker directly. Bobamaker, a member here at TDH is an excellent vendor, but there are others too.

What type of helmet? What is your price range? When do you need it? There are a lot of questions. Start by going into the the search mode and typing in helmets. You will begin to see a lot of threads on different helmets, makers and discussions on quality vs price. Get information before you buy and know what you want, and what it's worth. Good luck and happy hunting!

:cheers

thanks for all the input guys...this place is a wealth of info. I'm experiencing a little sticker shock, but I've though about having a Fett costume since I was about 12 so I think I'll start slow and work my way up.

Bobamaker makes amazing helmets. I dont know if Gypsyboy is making his still but I got one of his and it's decently priced. Same with Sgt. Fang's Mystery helmet. If you are really on a budget look for a don post to mod but there are some major downfalls to that helmet. Stay away from ebay helmets usually unless looking for a don post. And always search this board about a seller on ebay before you buy. Welcome and this is the most addicting thing you'll get yourself into!

Welcome to the Dent :cheers

My first suggestion is to decide what you want the helmet for.A start of a costume/outfit or a "converstaion" piece in your house.Second suggestion is to do research on to bring that "sticker shock" down.It has been done where someone has made their helmet for very little money.Every now and then a deal can be found in the cargo hold.Third is to decide and do research in the type of helmet you want(Prepro,ESB,RotJ,Animated series,SE,etc). How detailed do you want the helmet to be?Cost plays a big role in the paint. There are some helmets out there you would swear came straight off the movie set,if not better in detail. And there are those that are "just ok".
Dont get into a big hurry to buy your helmet.Take you time and research this purchase. Not only is the look of the helmet important but more important is whom the seller is.
There are plenty of threads here to help you.Do a search for " New to TDH? Read this about how much you will spend! ".This thread should get you going into your research.
Good luck with your purchase
