What is the toughest most durable helmet available

New Hunter
I know this has been asked a ton of times and I've searched for as much info as possible. With the exception of a hammered and welded steel helmet, what would be the most durable helmet that I can get? Not looking for any particular style, can be generic non Fett. I'm assuming a fiberglass reinforced resin as opposed to a resin cast. Not real concerned about saving weight. What makers should I be looking for? Would it be a better option to buy a resin cast and add my own fiberglass or kevlar cloth to the inside?

I kinda knew that question would come up and I can't really think of a good answer other than "just because". I don't really need it but always seem to get the most durable stuff I can. Can't hurt I guess.

Haha. That's good. I was thinking you had some crazy specific use that required additional strength. I think a lot of the resin and fibreglass helmets around here should stand up to regular use and will meet your needs. Once its done, you'll probably be more worried about wrecking the paint than dealing with structural damage (unless it suffers a serious fall/drop onto a hard surface).
Good luck.

Animefan would be an EXCELLENT choice. His are full fiberglass helmets and are built a little thicker than most others. Its a nice helmet AND it would likely be the most durable outside of an actual metal helmet.

My recently-cast Animefan helmet is resin, not fiberglass. But it does seem to be quite thick, compared to photos of other helmets I've seen here.

Animefan has cast white resin ones and coldcast fiberglass ones ( think they are). I have a the white resin one and it is thick. Depending on what you want it to stand up against ( punches/animals/drops/.45 ) it should be ok. I wouldn't want to drop mine . I think if you drop any they would possibly break.

So the Fettspride premium helmets that he sells here that he says are cast in coldcast fiberglass are good to go?

I don't really understand what you want from all of this. Coldcast helmets are not actually more sturdy than fiberglass or resin helmets. They are heavier and somewhat stronger...but what they gain in strength the lose in brittleness. Most helmet makers can do cold cast helmets if that's what you want. What makes a helmet stronger is its design and thickness of its helmet walls. You are WAY overthinking what you want from a helmet. I thought my response about using titanium hinted at that fact. The best answer is to figure out HOW you want your helmet to look and what type of Boba Fett you want made. That will dictate who the best helmet merchants are for your current needs.

AF will also cast them in non coldcast fiberglass. The CC resin is nice looking but it is more brittle, and if your painting a Boba lid you're going to paint over most of the CC anywho(and screen used were not coldcast, the silver was paint) This would be my suggestion.
