I believe its a recast job. I wouldnt buy it. Stay with quality that is found here on TDH.

The tittle says MS1 (Marrow Sun 1), but it's not a MS1, it looks a DonPost '95 Recast, so do not buy it.

Saw these the other day. Didn't think they looked like the MS1 either.

Another thing, where can i find a bucket kit? My price range is maximum 150$
Feb 4, 2009, 4:49 AM - Re: What is this Helmet?
there are lots of options Bush
1st off - I would do some research rather than rush into a buy - I've seen lots of WTB threads from yourself in a short period of time
very impt to take ur time looking round these forums and deciding on spending ur cash on wot you definately want. Thats speaking from experience, I've made the mistakes, hope you dont repeat em!
bucket kit - have u decided which mandolorian u are goign for yet? boba? jango? custom?
you have a budget there - thats good! at that price range u would be looking at doing some work yourself. You'd be pushing to get a fibreglass at that price, esp.ly factoring in shippin to Turkey.
The Sarge has a re-plumb to whole house sale atm and is offering one of the best bang for buck lids there.
theres GB lids for abt $110 - but they ship from Canada; and my experience with Canada post to this side of the Atlantic has been.... a bit hit and miss.
cheaper options - scracth build with WOF plans, modify a DOn Post, Bradley Fett ABS lid.
there are also a few UK options which may be cheaper to post to you.

That's the way to go!!! WOF scratch build is fun, cheap, and relatively easy.
Best O' Luck,

For 150 dollars, your best bet is a Sgt. Fang helmet kit. His are probably the most accurate for the least amount of money.

That e-bay auction helmet appears to be something "other" than anything I'm used to seeing in 10 years. Whereas is does have some aspects of vinyl DP, the brow band is way too fat. Maybe it was a custom job It looks like someone modded a DP. My 2 cents

So here's a composite of an original MS1 that I had at my house for a bit, side by side with these eBay ones. I scaled up the eBay pic to be as close in size to the MS1 as I could.
The dents look really different... not soft from re-re-re-recasting, but just shaped differently.
The turn signals on the forehead also look different. They are so soft as to almost not be there, but they don't look to be the same size, and don't seem misaligned like the MS1.
Dunno what it is, but I don't think it's an MS1... It's odd that the seller knows this stuff well enough to know MS1, but not well enough to know what an MS1 is.
Maybe it really is an original sculpt?

The outer edges of the visor near the earcaps looks more like an old MLC to me.

The front view looks just like the pic...it is the back where all the problems are.
