What are the best US spray paints for ESB helmet?

OK, I did a lot of searching here, but can't find definitive, expert answers.
What are the best, MOST ACCURATE U.S. spray paints for ESB helmet?

I agree that Rustolium Spruce green is a good color for dome, cheeks & left ear. (Not thrilled with the slow dying time).

My real questions:

Is red oxide primer pretty close to the mandible color? Someone suggested Rustolium Cabernet, but that seems too maroon and red seems too red.

The back of the helmet appears to include a light yellow'green color and a darker green.

Thanks

I think spruce is to dark...honestly its alot darker then ESB and ROTJ. I like moss green, but thats just me...The back green I like krylon night tide, over top of khaki, the red for the mandibles I like claret whine possibly colonial red, depends on how red you want it really...from rustoleum.

When dealing with spray paints there really is no definitive 'expert' answer. Since the screen used helmets were painted with an airbrush using pollyscale/floquil colors, the best we can do is 'eyeball' the color we think matches the best. I prefer the Rustoleum Spruce Green for the helmet because it matches up with the floquil 'panzer olive grun' closer than any other spray paint I've found. I even use bottle 'panzer olive grun' to brush on 'touch ups' when painting my ESB helmets. It's just a shadow darker than the Spruce Green and blends nicely. As for the red of the mandibles, you may want to hit the Rustoleum Cabernet with an overspray of Krylon Ruddy Brown Primer. It helps lighten the red and adds a hint of brown to the mandibles as well. Again, it's purely the way your eye sees it.
