Were there lights in the pre-pro key holes?

I can post a picture tomorrow, but I have an old copy of The Art of TESB and a rear view of Fett seems to show reddish, orange light in the keyholes.

there are red dental files in the holes.

If this is the image:


...then the answer is NO! Those lights in the rear keyhole and the sling gun's laser were painted for publicity purposes (by Ralph McQuarrie according to the Art Of ESB book), there was no real functionality on those parts.
