    Weathering Possibility?

Has anyone tried artists rubber cement or liquid mask? I figure it'd be easy to remove with a rubber cement pick-up, or even just peel it off. Seems less messy than mustard... (Or other condiments)

    Any thoughts folks?

I use a product called 'Copydex' as a masking fluid. It is a craft glue that is latex based and costs a lot less than masking fluid and is basically the same stuff. I think you can buy this Copydex in the States.

I use mold builder. Its a brushable liquid latex. It will stink of ammonia when you first open the container but the smell disapates quickly. Dries fast if you don't put it on too think and will peel away safely unlike BLEEPITY BLEEP BLEEP masking tape. You should be able to find the stuf at any craft or hobby shop

I use stuff called Incedible white mask all the time. I'm betting its very similar to the stuff Marrow described, because it smells of amonia. Rubber cement works OK, but it is much thicker than liquid mask. Liquid mask goes on just like a thinned paint, so you can really get great detail, and its easy to use. If you use rubber cement on a large project like a bucket, it can be confusing where you maksed and where you haven't, as rubber cement dries clear. You can gett liquid mask in different colors so its easier to see where you applied it. You can get incredible white mask at hobby lobby in the paint section

I used a latex type mask before the mustard, and I guess I didn't put enough on, cuz I couldn't see where my weathering marks were after I painted I shoulda used more. But, now I'm a mustard guy

I used liquid mask on mine.
Yeah, the whole thing needs to be re-done, but you get the idea.

I think you mean this stuff.
This has been posted before and works GREAT for me. It's like 12-13$ or so.
