I know I had asked Spidey to paint my helmet in time for SDCC06. That isn't til mid July. He said he was booked until March at that he needs at least 2-3 months on the bucket. THat would be cutting it way to close. So I am having DarthMiller do mine which by the way he does amazing work. Very good eye to detail. Perhaps Spidey is really REALLY backed up, maybe he bit off more than he could chew. I am not making any excuses for him, but I am sure you have a good explanation coming. I am am positive you will get it back, and with this public thread I am sure you will get a response. I just hope you guys can settle this dispute in a private civil way.

Well guys! I guess this is my fault for being a nice guy and trying to help somebody out! And the thing is, this is suppost to be a brotherhood, one that was really formed all the way back in 77' when that second space ship came over our heads and all our eyes were like two big friggin' saucers! What a shame and I'm truely dissapointed that it's had to go even this far just to make the situation known!

Hmm...kinda reminds me of a story. Two years ago, I traded some stuff to a guy to have him paint me some Warhammer figures. I was just getting into it, had no painting skills, and the guy had a good reputation and good quality. Well, in the waiting period, I developed my skills and became a pretty good painter myself, bought the figures, painted them myself. After a year of excuses, I still had no figures. Eventually communication disappeared completely, and now I am pretty much out of Warhammer anyways. Don't mean to paint a cloudy picture, hopefully you get a better ending than I did.

As a member of 501st I am always trying to research my next perfect screen accurate costume,TK,TD,TB, and when Master Rep finally delivers?..TC!
Today was my first time on the "Dent" and I've allready learned alot about this forum and who is actually trying to play fair and who is NOT!

They say that "information is everything" ,well today I got some good leads! and some real warnings!!!!!!

what you just said is boardering on flaming i think. plz watch how you word things. i can understand your anger. i dont know why SP hasnt said anything. im verry interested in what he will have to say because i was/am (its alittle questionable now) considering him to paint a helmet i might buy soon. honestly spidey if somthing has happened to this guys helmet i highly advise you just telling him instead of ignoring him. ignoring the situation is the absolute worst thing you could do in this situation.

Well I think you need to be careful before you start assuming that people aren't trustworthy. I've dealt with Spidey and many others on this board and have had no problems with anyone. I'm not saying that Eric doesn’t have a legitimate beef, but saying (or inferring) that someone is not playing fair is very premature. Does Eric deserve his stuff in a timely manner?? Sure he does and I hope they can work out this situation soon.

I know Spidey is a stand up guy. Have you thought just maybe, that he is working on your helmet. And is finishing up. He just doesnt need to explain every brush stroke. Maybe he is working on several helmets at one time. Thats why it takes a few months. I've had projects go over deadlines, it happens. Halloween was 2 months ago. I dont remember Spidey even paintin helmets back in March.

I think you got some information wrong. And I don't know Spidey personally. But I know him from these boards. I've spoken with him before on many occasions. He is a stand up guy. And baiting someone about their integrity shows a definate LACK of integrity. Don't come here and start bashing people. Obviously Spidey finds a reason to not address you publicly. I can say now, that after seeing how your little friend came on here baiting and flaming, its pretty easy to see why he stays away from this thread.

well ive been talking to SF & aparently we arnt getting the whole story. so i think it would be wise to leave this just between SF & GBH. there apears to be some miscomunication between GBH & SF or some personal dispute between the 2. SF isnt screwing this guy over from what ive heard. thats all im gunna say on this because its not my problem.

Although I can sympathise with your situation I feel this sort of problem can only be resovled through PM and other personal contact, otherwise you just end up with people taking sides and throwing their opinions in which ultimately does no good, I wish you all the best in sorting this out

Here's the thing, the last time I directly spoke with him, on his cel phone, which was the beginning of November when we agreed on the second deadline the week of the 28th, right after Thanksgiving, all he said he had to do is "INTSALL THE VISOR" and that the L.E.D.s in the rangefinder top still didn't quite fit right and I told him don't worry about that, I can easily finish that part up, well that's 2 months ago and still no helmet! I even contacted the moderators before I started this and they said that it seems you have done everything possible to keep this private. Since there has been no response, it's your right to call him out publicly and voice your concerns, as long as I keep it civilized. But here's the thing, still after this whole discussion: I've have no pm, no e-mail, no-phone call from Spidey Fett. I just don't understand it and when there's no communication, there's nothing to understand. Hey and if anybody thinks I putting some kind of spin on this, give me call on my cell: 859 409 0848, I love to hear how I'm not telling the whole truth. I've have nothing to hide and is honest as they come! I've even told spidey in my efforts to keep communication open that I thought we were friends because we had multiple conversations on topics outside of Star Wars Community.

I would normally agree that something like this should be resolved privately so as to not damage anyones reputation.

I do have to say it is at the point of where Spidey should at least post an acknowledgement.

I do hope this can be resolved amicably, as it is obvious there are those who are green to these boards watching to see the outcome.

Seems there's a few members out there that are quite up these flamin' or flame fest termlnologies, sorry I'm not familier with those kinds of topics and prefer to operate above a 8th grade mentality. So does anyone know where i can get a good full sized helmet or should i ask on another thread.

theres a big difference between SFP & SF. SFP items are just plain **** but SF's paintjobs (from what ive seen so far) are one of the best ive seen on the forums. i agree this thread should be closed before this goes any further. prahaps a moderator can get both SF & GBH together & the three of them can discuss how this can end in the best situation possible. the only reason i have the little info i have i is because i asked SF what the deal was here cause i had just finnished talking to him about schedualing to have a helmet painted right before i stumbled accross this thread. i then wile talking about the paint job i may hire him to do asked him what the deal is with this and he just simply answered my question.

Well if its all the same with you i wont be ordering anything from him,9 months is a joke without any comms.
