Just seen this bud...
I'm nearing my visor installation into my FPH and was thinking of using 5mm.

But if Daz is doing it for you, why do you need the info?

if you use only glue (whatever variety), a good idea is to drill small holes all along the edge of the visor. actually, a more free flowing glue might work best on this. apply the glue along the inside of the helmet. when you apply pressure to the visor, capillary action will draw the glue up into the holes you've made and when dried, it will become kind of a "glue rivet". People use this technique to attach plastic hinges to RC cars all the time. thanks

I think I used - 3/16" from Lowes with rubber washers. I didn't want to go with the glue only method in case I damage the visor, I can remove and replace it. Fitting is a bit of a challenge. I started but securing the "chicago" screws into the helmet with epoxy. ONce dried I measured the spaces between the screws so I could drill holes into the edge of the visor to match - I suggest covering your visor entirely with blue tape to keep it from getting scratched during this process. With the visor in place, on the visor (covered with the blue tape) - I marked spots where the holes will be drilled with a perm marker - then I removed visor and started drilling the holes. I test fitted as I went, trying to make the best alignment for the screws. Not the easiest job, but I was happy with the results.
