Viewfinder prism question

I made a prism for my viewfinder out of acrylic plastic, but am unsure of a detail. In the Alan Sinclair template I'm using, there appear to be 3 grooves in the back (top) of the prism, in green in the template. Thoughts on if these are what I think they are and appropriate for ESB?
