They go fo a few hundred if its the normal one, BUT its not shaped properly has a pinched visor. I wouldnt buy one but thats just me.
I'm not out for 'exact' detail- more so for collectability
EDIT: besides, it's my only 'cheap' option for a completed helmet

How would a MR boba go UP in price D: it was originally like $450
Last edited by Metadude; 02-20-2012 at 09:24 PM.
for $750, if you want a complete bucket go to bobamaker.
I'm looking for a complete bucket- if I was going to get a kit I would go to Asok
bobamker has a kit for roughly $350 but he also does paint jobs and I got a price quote from him a month ago and he said $750 for either ESB or ROTJ so he really does it all haha
One of the issues is how the sides of the vertical part of the T-visor taper in towards the bottom of the helmet instead of running parallel all the way down. And while I have never seen one in person, I've read that the paint job is sort of a hybrid between the ESB helmet and the Pre-pro 3 helmet. So you're not getting a true representation of either helmet.
Then, how could the price of such a helmet go UP? It makes very little senseI thought something like that would go DOWN in price, An almost spot on helmet costs less than $800
Its endorsed by LFL
Sad face
****... I could probably afford a good boba helmet if I bondo'd/repainted my MR 327th star corps helmetKorbanth/Triomiret is a douche...
Alot of ppl knock the Master Replica Boba Fett helmet,
i say thats ******** or jealousy i have a master replica number 0257 its beautiful
My helmet has the curve in the visor all the detail BM & FP put in plus BM
helmets are fiberglass thats RAD! FP molded plastic
you choose i did.
i have one as well, custom paint it esb, whats the deal with the visor? a bit loss here
Its pinched at the bottom which is not screen accurate...the guys at MR did a decent job just not perfect
The tapering at the bottom of the visor and the paint job doesn't offer the best representation of the fett helmet with the other choices out there. For the price collectors pay for it its kind of outrageous compared to what you could have for a much more accurate helmet.
Hi guys I'm new and wondering where I can purchase a master replica Boba helmet. I would also like to know of a place where I can get myself a good jet pack. The other day I was in a website which had all kinds of Mandolorian armor but did not save and can no longer find. Im so excited to start building my Boba Fett Armor.
honestly, for the price they run for... is it worth it? I've seen helmets (and obtained one myself) made by fans here and sold here at way higher caliber for a much more affordable price.
I understand people like the collectors items and things... but I just can't justify the price tag on them. My opinion I know but hey
The up side is they've usually kept their value because by the time you get a top of the line helmet kit and commissioned to get painted, you'll be spending around the low/mid $800 mark, not to mention the time needed to wait for it. Now, 99% of people on this site will probably not care much for it because they know they can get better ones here and/or have the patience to wait for one, but a lot of other SW collectors, who aren't focused on just Fett, will opt for the MR because its an officially licensed piece with not much turnaround time.
I, myself, have the MR bucket for now and dont ever plan on getting rid of it. I'm able to look past the few small inaccuracies as it really doesn't bother me at all. I'll eventually have to get a custom one from someone here though since I do want to own an ROTJ version, but its not on my immediate to-do list.
The MR certainly isn't a bad helmet. Fix up the visor pinch and it's pretty solid for the price.
I have an MR, too big for me but had to have it, may fix the pinch one day, but a bloody good display peice! someone has to offer me big bucks to part with it, and I mean big bucks cause the one I got was just by chance an Artist Proof, dont know if that is any special compared to the others, but I love it!
If you fix the pinch in the visor then all (okay, maybe just most) of the collect-ability stuff goes out the window and you may as well have bought a more accurate piece to begin with.
If you are a collector of SW stuff that will maintain value and you can then resell, it might be a good choice. If you are looking to get the most accurate piece to have for your collection you have options.
Good Luck!
Hey guys,
So these days what is one of these 'Master Replicas' helmets worth, roughly?
well,I paid £750 for a signature edition 6 months ago here in the UK.
Blimey, that's a pretty penny. I bought the SE when released. Think it came to £450 once I'd paid all the shipping and customs. I actually wanted the LE but it worked out more expensive! I don't think that most of the limited collectibles hold their value that well but I think this is one of the few that has (falcon and some of the other Se provided the boxes are there and some of the rarer lightsabers). I don't think I've seen on go for less than six hundred quid in the last couple of years.
Well, I ended up picking up the Limited Edition: Artistproof Edition... supposedly thats a pretty good one?
