Greetz all.. I was wondering instead of using cardboard if I could use for sale sign plastic ? I have large amounts at my dispsosal. I saw the inside of a homemade bucket and saw the FOR SALE and was wondering, also.. What kind of helmet/skate,bike helmet is used most often for dome ? When I do this helm. I want it to last until I can buy a better version..

Thank you

The signs can be sintra, or polystyrene, so yes you can use them, but youll need appropriate glue. so test it out.

The best shaped helmets are pro-tec but they are expensive. You can find helmets of similar shape at any sporting goods stores.

dont buy one too large, as youll be taking the foam out. I used a medium or large for the WOF templates. It turned out pretty well.

SD68 made a great scratchbuid using "For Sale" signs.

Kripps and Kibosh also used the batting helmet method. I'm working on one right now. Digifett has a detailed scratchbuild also using similar material.

Since you have access to a lot of For Sale signs, you could also use them for your armor. Just glue two or three together with superglue to get thicker, more resilient armor.

Keep us posted.
:cheers
