Using an Army chinstrap?

Its possible to get a cast of a British riot helmet chinstrap. Thats what was actually used for the prop. FP included it with his MR deluxe helmet... not sure about the GMH though. I had wanted to use mine but for now my helmet is padded well enough like F4R said.

I used the 4-point ACh army chinstrap and it works really well. The drawback? Taking my helm on and off is a drag. If I'm trooping or rough housing around, I use it. Otherwise, I prefer it without. I have really nice padding in my helm that's covered with black aerated vinyl.

My padding system is really simple. A band of foam around the perimeter of the helmet, just above the visor, with a round pad at the top.

I then put a bit of extra padding at the sides to keep it stable (but don't cover your ears or you won't hear anything!).

That's it. A bit of hot glue to hold it in and I'm done.

I'm not really one to make the insides pretty... I only care what it looks on the outside. I guess I'm shallow ;)
