Hi. This is my first Boba Fett Helmet paint job i intend to attach a few better pictures
than this ie the back etc. I just wanted to put these on now because im made up how
it turned out considering it was my first attempt, :) Like i said i have no prior experience of painting and weathering etc but with some superb help from stencils and advice from you guys on this website i feel happy how it turned out. All the paint used is from uk based shops ie B&Q, Halfords and Wilkinsons. I attempted Tanya spray paints through a Badger Air Gun but i ballsed things up so i stuck to spray paints....Well i like it fetters:lol:

great work brother! looks really nice. have you got a list of some of the main colours you used? doing some rattlecan research myself atm, so really interested. once again my friend, congratulations, really nice work :)

There are a few small details to finish mainly the ears but thats it..It is a Bobamaker Helmet :)
The main colours i used were :
Hunter Green
Canyon Red
Iron Grey
Matt Black
Satin Red
Mustard Yellow
Humbrol Green Provence
Standard Metallic Silver

Yeah cheers mate i thought that too considering its just been mostly from eye..Been a bit harder using cans in relation to colour matching. Ive been watching Welsh's
WIP esb helmet and i can see the difference in colours and technique etc with Airguns.. To answer your question on welsh's thread most of the cans used were Acrylic
as i got alot From Halfords (motor - bike shop,) didnt realise it was causing most of the problems with masking or the lifting of the masking.
The best colour match to help me was by printing of in colour (A4) Count Dookies ESB Colour scheme/stencils and literally taken them into the shops and matching up the paints to the pictures ( i had a few **** ones but it was a hit and miss and got a different one) the easiest and best matches were:
Mandible : plastic-cote metallic Silver, Iron Grey, Canyon Red, Satin Red (Maroon looking) again all these are the names of the paints on the cans ie the full name was "Volkswagon Canyon Red"
left ear : Plastic-cote Hunter Green, Canyon Red, Iron Grey
Right Ear : Coral Beige, Iron grey, silver
upper cheek : Matt black , Silver, iron grey
Lower Cheek : Iron Grey , Matt Black , Humbrol 'Just Spray special effects paint ' green provence + plastic-cote Green misted together
dome: Silver , iron Grey , Touch of Satin Red, Humbrol 'Just Spray special effects paint ' green provence + plastic-cote Green misted together
The back panels were tricky as its a funny green/blue but it was a case of hit and miss really..
Thats it really most of the core colours were from Halfords the Car parts shop and goin through the caps for close matches.. Though the Main Green
was Humbrol which i wanted to make sure was close and not acrylic.

That is really great dude, you've captured that battered look that everything in Empire has really well. It's always good to see UK guys work on here :)

A-mazing! and for never spraying something before you've obviously found your talent :D, inspiring!
Thanks for the listy of paints too! Halfords is my friend! haha

Respect
P.

Thanks Fellas.....Reckon Halfords were sick of me by the end though LOL and I agree it's nice to see avid UK Fett fans on here, more the merrier for me :)

Ity looks great , Id sudjest dirtying up the white upside down U on the left ear with a light was of watered down acrylic or water colours , with a light mix of black and brown.
It just looks a bit bright for the rest of the helmet
