TWO MS Buckets!! w/pics

Some other threads made me believe you too were abandoning the layered method. So what's up Spidey! What are your reasons for going with layering -- so we can all learn from your experiences.
Lookin' great as usual

Which THREADS???...
I have always been a proponent of the Layered process...actually the helmet, in my opinion, should not be restricted to one method, as by looking at the high Res Pics you can tell that both methods where used Equally...just for different things and areas on the helmet...

I've have made the statement that I would love to try an all topical method...Only because I have seen some great work here lately done topically. But layered is my "Bread" and butter..;)

I think Fett Pride said it best..."It's all an illusion"8)

Actually I have done 15 of these. Going to do one more for myself and one for Dan after I get number 16 done. I had to take a break I was burnt. I have gathered up all the info I could and I'm going to cast up a helmet or two from the helmet plug and see what I can make from it.

15 at once? holy crap. I have a question for you Spidey, or RS. How do you keep the paint from rubbing off where the visor goes up and down?

Ya rangfinder, there is barely enough room for it to put in a shim or anything, do you just let it tear up?

I used a couple of small O-rings from one of my old Paintball markers on either side. They are really really small...............

Wow, that's looking awesome!

I'd like to compliment you on your photos as well as your painting skills. I'm an amateur photographer and I really like the way you present your photos (framing) and make such excellent use of ambient light...definitely showcases the quality of your work. Well done!
