Discussion on Try at Super Trooper helmet within the Boba Fett Helmet forum, part of the Star Wars Original Trilogy Bounty Hunters category; I ran out of cold cast this weekend to do
I ran out of cold cast this weekend to do a full helmet and wanted to have a little fun. After seeing photos of the Super Trooper, I though I would give it a shot. Here is what I was trying to reproduce Super Trooper Both ears are cold cast and the rest is white resin. What do you think?

Not sure how many of these I would do. It is a pain in the rear to get the cold cast in the right spot. But, there is not a lot of painting.Which works for me, seeing I am an IT guy. Hold on, if I can find my black Sharpie, I can fill in the T visor..........

No clue yet. I was more worried about if I could make it. How does $175 with all the normal trimmings sound? The normal trimming being cold cast ear cap, clear 3 part range finder, and aluminum range finder stalk.

Thats funny, I was going to say to you you should try that, I did this a few times but it didnt look nearly as clean, or good

,How ever , the super trooper actually has white painted ears with the same section on the right ear thats is left metal as the ESB,
Not always. I mean, the one from the video, yes, but there is another one next to a Stormie which has metal ears.
True , but it is a general misconseption that the ears are all bare metal, like the left ear on the PP1 eyes helmet , that is white ,(thatr how I see it)

No worries about derailing the thread. I feel that a good conversation about the topic at hand is a good thing.
So I'm now the proud owner of this particular cast, but sadly will be painting it up ESB to complete my current project. Would everyone like to see it mocked up supertrooper white before it is defaced with Rustoleum Aluminum?

Will do! Still have some prep work before I mount the visor. Fiberglass is curing right now.
What did you Fiberglass?
After I cut the visor the mandibles become skewed so I taped up the visor area to get the measurements even (width of t-visor and height of mandible corners from top of visor) and glassed around the visor area and the juncture of the cheeks to get them to lay right.
