Is it true that the Mystery helmet...

I hope FP doesn't mind me using his pic! ;)
Here's an MH (left) compared to the MSH2 (right). I think the main difference is that the MSH2 has more height and it's got a better dent.

I'd disagree with the MSH2 dent being better than the MH dent. The MH dent is virtually identical to the DP Deluxe dent shape-wise, which is fairly accurate to the dents seen on real Fett helmets. However, I cannot comment on whether the actual size of the dents is correct or not.

Though, I do have to say that the dent on the MSH 2 greatly improved upon the MSH dent.

I always thought the MSH's had more accurate dents?! Isn't the dent on the movie helmets more defined and sharper than the DP Deluxe and the MH's?

I'd definitely agree that the movie helmets have sharper dents and sharper features all around, because obviously there is no generation loss.

The DP Deluxe dent, and subsequently the MH dent, have features close enough to the "real" dents that it is likely the DP Deluxe dent was created from a "real" dent in some shape or form. However, it is in that process that the DP Deluxe and MH dent would have suffered from diminished sharpness and possible shrinkage.

In short, with the Dp Deluxe and MH helmet, you have a pretty accurately shaped dent that has a loss in sharpness and possibly size.

The MSH and MSH 2 dents were custom scuplted, so their sharpness will be great, but the shape of the dent itself can't be as accurate as a dent cast off the real thing.

When I get home tonight, I will glady post pics to illustrate my points.

Interesting points! I'll also take a look at some pictures myself later on too.

Now, my other question is this...
I'm 6 foot tall, small build (ok, not that small!). Would the MSH2 look ok on me? Same goes for the MH.

Any help would be appreciated! ;)

IMO, size-wise, the MSH2 is more of the correct size.

IOHGO (in other helmet guru's opinions), the MH's dent is closer in size to the real helmet only it has lost its crispness. Therefore the MSH2 has a more defined dent.

The MSH's dent was a bit too big, but that was corrected on the MSH2. I will leave the consensus on which is more accurate to the helmet aficionados to debate.
