Is it true that the Mystery helmet...

Got your attention, huh? :D
Is it true that the Mystery helmet... is rather a ROTJ bucket than an ESB?
I'm in for a Mystery, but I want to make an ESB helmet.
As far as I can tell from TK409's site (gotta love that site! ;) ), the MH looks quite ESBish to me... of course I'm not an expert.

Now, it might also depend on how tall one is.
I'm 6'4", so I don't know if the Mystery helmet will look too small on me... but from what I've heard it is not much smaller than, say a MSH2, it's rather the flare that makes the difference... or am I completely wrong?

Thanks
Xhiwar

The MSH is a pretty big helmet. Bigger than all the DP's for sure, but not bigger than the MLC. I think the MSH1 is just a little bit smaller than the MSH2(?). But I don't think the difference is very noticable.
So basically, the MSH should look perfect on a larger guy! ;)

Regarding the screen accuracy, I think it's perfect for an ESB paintjob. The MSH2 is even more exceptianally superior to it's predecessor.

Just my 2 cents

The mystery helmet is most likely from an original helmet, neither ROTJ nor ESB, it seems to be a bit undersized to be either... Still an amazing bucket. :D

Yes, but I was actually talking about the Mystery helmet (MH), not the Movie Size helmet (MSH). But thanks anyways!
And thanks Baddblood! So it looks like I will have to rethink if I'll go with a MH (actually already put me down for one) or (I mean... and :D ) with a MSH2.

Thank you guys.

Ugh...
I mis-read :( Sorry guys.
It must be work that's getting to my head today!

Yeah, what Baddblood said ;)

Hey man,

I have a Mystery helmet (MH) and it looks awsome. It isn't as big as the others, but is bigger than all of the Don Post helmets. To be honest, it wider than the Don Posts as well. I love it and my costume is ESB. :D

Someone posted comparison pics of the MSH2 and MH next to each other and they looked almost the same. Also, Sarge has a pic of the MH painted up in the ESB scheme and it looked pretty good.

Now that I have an MSH2 to paint up ESB style I'm thinking of doing the MH in Jango style. What do you think? Is the MH good for a Jango?

The most noticeable difference is that Jango's dome is lower and has a different shape to it. The earpieces are slightly different and there is no cheek detail piece to it.

The Mystery Helmet though undersized always appeared to be leaning towards ROTJ more so than ESB. I agree with baddblood in saying at 6'4, an MSH2 would most likely be your best bet...

And how tall are you? I actually like the ESB coloring on the MH a lot, my biggest concern is just that it might be a little small at 6'4"... (I'm gonna be a tall Boba :D )

Thanks for your comments

If you're 6'4" - I'd go for an MLC.
Theyre big on most people, but I'm 6'3" and it looks proportionate.

OK, thanks sean.
Haven't read too much about the MLC, so is it movie-accurate?
Oh, by the way, you ARE talking about the MLC-1, huh?
I heard that there are no differences between the MLC-1 and the MLC-2, except for the MLC-2 being a bit smaller, am I correct?
So you say the MLC1 would be best...
hmm...
As said, is it movie-accurate? (ESB preferrably)

If yes: PM's please! Would like to know where to get one!
Actually, I already told Sarge to put me down for an MH... Maybe I can cancel it (it will sell anyway, MH, is a GREAT helmet!), otherwise I'll have a second ESB bucket for my brother! :D
I've decided to go ESB anyways!

Thanks a lot

So being a 6'1" noob to the forums, what helmet should I use? I have a Don Post '95 (one that i actually GOT in 95) but now i'm looking for a more accurately sized helmet for someone my height. (as of now i'm about 6'1" but since i'm only 16 i might grow two more inches or so).

....Hello to all by the way :)

...sorry, i forgot to mention that i'm going for an ESB Boba. Thanx in advance.

MH, MSH, and MSH2 are all close to the size of the real helmet (or so we sure hope they are). Jeremy is 6'00", so you should be safe with any of them or some of the hybrids floating around.

The MLC is the biggest of the bunch, actually maybe a bit too big unless you have got the frame for it. I saw a pic of one of our shorter members wearing one and it almost rested on their shoulders. It was definately not designed for the smaller Fetts out there.

Welcome! ;)

I'm your height and I'm planning to get the MSH2. It's by far the best helmet imho so far. The Mystery Helmet is good too (but more ROTJ) and you can try and get your hands on an MSH1 (it'll most likely be a tad cheaper).

Yes, the MLC1 is too big for smaller framed hunters. That's why we came out w/ the MLC2- slightly smaller.

But, the MLC1 is perfect for bigger hunters, as Obi Sean Kenobi said.
