my helmet was too squished and warped out on the back, so i flaired it, do you think i flaired too much? is ther suppose to be a number of inches or cm to go by for a DP95?

That flair looks fine.
I have a DP '96, which I use a brass ring in the back to widen my flare. It is 10.5" from outside edge to outside edge of the earcaps.
