Ok, so after a long period of time of developing the circuit, I have ordered the PCB for the TF light kit. My plan for this kit is to have it be easy to install and require no soldering by the buyer. This kit will be using the honeywell 1sx1-t micro switch and not a tilt switch like in my Asok kit. It will also be using 12v DC grain of wheat bulbs to light up the perspex block, and everything will run off of a 9v battery. When I build the mock up I will see how much of a difference a 12v battery makes on the GOW bulbs and how long it will last compared to the 9v and if it seems like a better option, then I will change the circuit to accept the battery to a 12v.
I already have a few of the honeywell switches and parts for the board, and once I get the boards and my hollow stalk from fettpride, I will start the mock up. As this porcess progresses, I will post pics to show everyone how it is going to work. As of right now, I don't know if this is going to be an ongoing run do to the price of the boards and the micro switches. The possibility of making it an ongoing run is open, but there must be a reaonable amount of interest for this to happen; the boards are about half the size of my Asok kits and are going to be very difficult to build since I do all of the soldering by hand.
I know that there have been a few members that have been really interested in this and I will get this ball rolling as soon as i can get all the parts together.
I would also like to give a big shout out to a few members for without thier help this project wouldn't be happeneing; Terminal Fettler for hooking me up with one of his kits (these things are awesome and one of the best toppers available), Fettpride for the parts and the advice he has given me (thanks for listening to me and giving me ideas), and Asok for helping me out with parts and for making the RF topper that started it all.
Thanks,
JC
