Can someone explain misting. I get spraying from about 4 feet away with black to weather or make look dirty but I don't understand the part in the first post about misting with the two different colors. Is it the same as the weathering misting???

Thanks so much for the rattle can info. I'm just not happy with the colors on my Boba

Wow! Nice job mate!
If my helmet looks half this good, I'll be happy!
Your totally right about the colour idea, even if I like bobas green, there is heaps of colours to choose from!

i spray very fine layers of 2-3 colors on top of each other while the paint is still wet. sometimes i'll even have one can in each hand and spray them into each other.

Great thread, it'll definitely help me on my "build as cheap as I can" helmet. I have a set of Iwata airbrushes but am never against the use of spray cans.

I piked up almost every color listed here at home depot yesterday and spent about 25 bucks. I already had metallic silver and primer handy. Thanks so much for posting this. Now if I can get some really good headshots so I know what to mask off, I will be doing great!

bout to give this a try as my armor jetpack and gaunts are done and I have left over huntclub and moss green, claret whine, flat black primer silver and blue I think Im gonna spend some more time soaking in paint fumes this week...this might rival the jetpack in difficulty

The helmet is worse than the jetpack to paint ;)

Wear a good respirator though! IMO you shouldn't be able to smell paint when you are working! $50 is worth it to save your lungs and brain a bit!
