You know, I don't know how anyone else here feels but, I think it just looks bad on the board in general when someone is so embarrassed by their work that they have to show the original screen used prop and try to claim it as their own!

It's a sad day.

:D

So, now I see what I should aspire to. That is a beautiful job. I'm sure mine will look like a booger with a visor in it when compared.

Woooooooof !

Sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to this sooner, I was out today because my Mom had a Day Surgery. Everything went well though.

Thanks everyone for the kind words :)

Appolo_50 - Thank you. The base colors are all sprays (custom by Sherwin Williams). I had mixed the paint with testors enamels originally, and then took it down and had them matched.

Well Paid Killer - You know good and well that I don't

Mirax H - A machine ? Wow, I kinda like the sound of that. Seriously though, since this whole project started almost a year ago (8.5 Months), it seems that I have become more machine than man, twisted and evil   Thanks Mirax

Del Fargazer - Thanks !

MaxPlague - Looks like you gotta lot to do buddy, the those gauntlets and helmet and all, better get crackin :D

journeymanprotector - Too kind man. But thanks :) As far as a tutorial goes, I've been asked before, and it's still not a real easy thing to do, because I wing it most of the time. No two buckets alike and all. I just use plenty of Ref CD Pics and lots of teeny weenie brushes, and real tired eyes, with many headaches  I use a combination of custom mixed enamels, and custom mixed acrylics for the weathering and damage topically. I dry brush most of the weathering colors, and use whitewash, to mute/brighten colors. I cut small low tack masking tape strips to mask off areas when possible to get crisp when warranted. The main ingredient, is actually Scitch Bright Pads. After I detail a section of the helmet, I use a scotch bright pad lightly over the mettalic and layered grayish areas, and it actually brings everything together while actually wearing away the edges of surrounding colors exposing a more natural random effect. Probably sounds crazy I know  Perhaps after I finish, I can make the time to type one up with some pics.

Ego - Thanks Jer :) See my response to JMP above

death to windu - Thanks Bud !

SEEKER - No way man, not even Thanks Buddy :)

And thanks again to everyone ...

WOW

Un-be-freakin-lieveable!
I am absolutely amazed how you manage to outdo yourself with every project! Ever since I saw those pics of your completed costume way back when, your costume would have to be the best I have ever seen.

Keep up the amazing work!

Really nice work. I'm impressed I think you got the colors very close as well. I read some of your techniques and I laughed out loud while reading because you used the scotch brite pad, I'm using same techinique keep up the good work.

It's been a little while, been busy. But here is a pic of the above nearly complete bucket that I've painted for Bobafettish. I will post a few finals at different angles when its finished this weekend. Or the new owner can do it, if he approves that is ;)

And, here are two WIP pics of "MY OWN" bucket I just started a while back.

The first pic is of course it's current natural look, the second pic, I superimposed the "Signature Dent" from the real Fett bucket on top of mine for reference.

It still has alot of work to go, it's in a very raw state. But you can get the idea. I've actually made some majoe mods to this bucket that I will get into at a later date, and will be very apparent when you see it. Not to mention that there is a bunch of stuff inside the bucket that I can take pics of later.

Looks like you've been busy . . and VERY productive! :D

You are once again proving that you are THE master when it comes to this Fett stuff. You leave me speechless as always!

I tip my hat to you sir,

Jer
