Now that is werid, look at the #2 pic you posted at the right (when looking at it) lower cheak on the screen helmet, then look at the tour helmet. How did the helmet lose a scratch in the process?? I understand how it gained some that makes plenty of sense to me but how the heck did it lose one?

KaanE, nice pics!
That is weird about the #2 picture. The one I posted at the beginning of the thread shows that scratch on the tour helmet. :confused Maybe it's the lighting or something.

Been on hiatus for a while but am finally laying on colors this weekend. I am going with the ESB screen used helmet for a reference and the high-res pics are a godsend. Besides the scratches, my color swatches for the MM POG seem awfully dark when compared to the high-res. Does anyone lighten the green with white or is it just the studio lights and flash photography that make it appear lighter? I know Spidey I believe mentioned Italian Olive oversprayed. Any advice here would be appreciated. I am adjusting my templates and eliminating scratches as needed. Any other photos would be great. This thread has incredible timing. I know Dookie mentions a couple of colors for the scratches in his templates, after overspraying flat does anyone come back and brighten any particular scratches?

I hear ya Pred'...I've looked at that same scratch before. And I agree with the above on that one.

yet....sometimes scratches appear to go missing when the angle that the picture is taken allows the light to reflect differently off the metallic paint and blend it into its surroundings. If you were to turn the helmet in the picture, the scratch would appear again. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. This happens alot on the back of the helmet since it's rounded -- even with the other non-metallic colors. I think that's part of what makes the ESB such a well-thought out paint job.

Great stuff guys! One thing that I'm curious about is the "wavy brow." Is it just me or does it look way more evident in the AOSW pic?

On this Pic you can see the scratch:
