SHOWOFF my ESB Fett helmet w/INTERIOR!!!

That, is damn impressive! Amazing work Steve, that has got to be the most extensive interior I've seen done. Such great ideas in there too, if you don't mind, some I'd love to incorporate into mine, when my MS kit gets here!
Oh, and to show off the interior, I was thinking, do a stand for it with a mirror base top, I'm gonna see about trying that.

Here's some more exterior pics. The rangefinder stalk was not weathered in these pics,so please excuse it's "cleanliness";) A couple are a bit fuzzy too. My impression of the rear of the helmet was very impartial to the blueish hue which can clearly be seen in these pics. I did a blue base with a green wash. The green wash isn't very representative in the pics.

Wow, very nice. I can only hope mine looks that good when finished. One question, what's that speaker looking thing on the inside that looks like it leads to a circuit board?

(hopeing I can get lucky the next time MS does a run on the interior pieces)

All I can say is wow. I think the entire thing is amazing. I also really like the blueish green color you did on the back.

Yeah I notice allot of older members tend to have a more blueish color on the back of thier buckets??? Why is that?
OH Don't get me wrong DL, YOUR BUCKET IS AMAZING(y) ....I even think that FettPride's finished MSH helmet was on the Blueish side too......

Question DL44: painted topically, layered? or both?

Again Great Job.(y)

After all the research and pouring over the photos at hand I really felt the blue with a green wash was what I was seeing.

As for topical vs. Layering or a combo. I did all my weathering topically.

Glad you guys like it.

does that microphone setup in your helmet actually work?

 naaaa....it's all for show...heck it's not even a real "microphone"....I guess the "prop" aspect of the helmet has been pullled off.;)

man, I was gonna say, that set up would be so much cooler than the radioshack mic... oh well... looks very tasty!
Someone should do that. Install a working mic, little flashing lights in the interior, make the side ear pieces ACTUALLY work like little headphones (so you can hear what's outside). That's be SO cool. A REAL FUNCTIONING FETT HELMET!

Steve

Is the "microphone" a brass faucet nozzle cap?
