Well......Here is my progress so far on my Rubies 97.....And please excuse my photography, for some reason the red on the helmet looks far brighter than it realy is.

First ...Thanks guys, and to answer your question, yes the dent was round from the begining but once I got the paint on it didnt bother me that it wasnt the more jagged shape.....So next weekend it looks like the wife, kids, and I will be spending the night at star wars weekends again to get Mr.Bullock's approval and signature and from there it will sit on my shelf for all eternity.

round or not, the dent at least looks deeper than most of the other helmets I've come across....my first one got ruined as I was trying to add more detail to the dent and ended up gouging a rather large hole in the top of my bucket

Thanks everyone glad you like it.....Here are some photos of the finished piece.

That is a fantastic helmet. I think it is wonderful that your family is involved in it too. My wife can hardly stand it when I do stuff like this!

Mate, that is superb! I have a DP96 bucket and would love to modify it. The only trouble is that like yours its been signed by JB too.
My sig is on the left cheek and any attempt to try and paint the bucket will no doubt ruin the signiture or even worse, cover it up!
Im trying to source some dark green visor here in the UK so that I can replace the shoddy looking black visor that comes with it but am having no luck.

Apart from the visor and the paint job did you have to do anything else to your Rubies to get it looking as good as it does?

Actualy I must have looked like an idiot looking through all the helmets they had just to find on that was still in good shape.Besides the visor and painting the only other thing I had to do was some fiberglassing just to prevent warping in the future.

And by the way....Im not sure if they have any locations in the UK but the dark green visor I used was purchased at "Harbor Freight" you could try looking into that...maybe they have a online store.
