ROTJ different references

Hi, I have a question about differences in the ROTJ Helmet references.
I know that the pictures show the same helmet, but what pappened with the Helmet? it has so much new scratches, which are not in the helmet when it was used for the movie.
What kind of version would you prefer to rebuild? I have seen many pictures of people with the helmetscratches like the exhibiton pictures.

The first photos you have are the 'Heilman' images, which if I remember the info from Rafalfett correctly, were from around the time of Empire Strikes back, before it was decided on to be used for ROTJ. This was around 1980, so were fairly fresh and new images of the helmet.

The second lot of images are from various exhibitions like 'The Magic of Myth', when the helmet had then been used for the filming of ROTJ, and stored and not exactly looked after perfectly, so it incurred some more scratches and damage over time. I personally chose to go for the later exhibition photos when I painted my ROTJ lid, simply as there was far more reference to be able to get the damage patterns as accurate as possible. Peace

Ah OK! Interisting, its not easy to make a desition. I think l try to make mine more Look it was in the movie, with both pics its easy to point out the scraches and damages that were actualy in the movie. Thank you for your help

For me personally I use both as the physical scratches are easier to see on the exhibition photos, but for movie accuracy the heilman photos are the way i go for what the paint would have been.
