Rotj Build Up

Looking good, glad to see you are making progress & getting your painting done.
Thanks! The humid weather is killing my painting process though...

I had the cheeks all done, and my painters tape completely pulled off all the paint down to the silver! Anyway got the red mandible area done, and going to start again with the cheeks!

OK, I got the upper and lower cheeks painted... Still need to add in the blue/green and red overspray, and i still need to weather and clear coat....

Thanks Aaron!
Yeah, I wanted to blend in the esb colors on the cheek, so I mixed up a green-gray color using chalk pastels that matched pretty close. The only issue I have found is that the clear coat darkens the pastel a shade or two, unless really light coats of dullcote are used.

Beutiful!(y)

Thanks Brother!

OKay, So i have got some more work done on the helmet, mainly dome and killstripes......
I still have to clear coat, to lock all that pastel weathering in. Then I will darken some areas up and start work on the ears.....

Soo while I wait until a liner is found, I made a mock up out of cardstock paper and foam. I think I might be able to make this thing 100% I just have to figure out what material to use for the plastic liner part,. My mock-up turned out okay i think though....

So this weekend I finally had some free time to paint, and I got started with sanding and priming my EE-3 kit. Rubber barrel from Stormrider and the rest in part of a kit from Sidewinder. 20140817_162239.jpg
Next, I plan on installing the helmet visor.
