Well, there's a specific kind of information I'm looking for, and it probably has to do with a PayPal address. ;)

Thanks Baddblood... I appreciate your words! ;)

Hey guys... This bucket is not even complete yet. All I have to offer (at this time) is the progress which I
wanted to share with the board. We are very happy to see all the interest which has motivated pushing it even
further.

Fatherless One - We have spoke via PMs on this but there really hasn't been anything to report. There will
be much more to talk about once this helmet reaches completion...

ROTJ Bucket now COMPLETE...

Well alright… I think this just about wraps this project up once and for all. Here are the latest and FINAL pics
of the ROTJ bucket…

Anyone that’s done their homework on this particular helmet will already know that the real ROTJ features a flare
in the T-visor mandible position as significant as the signature trait of the outer flare on the real ESB
bucket. This helmet was produced to come as close as possible to recreate the screen worn helmet.

I would consider this an ROTJ “purists” helmet (you know who you are!) because every last detail has been made to
capture the look of the real thing. Some may love this, some may not, but the people looking for the most accurate
ROTJ helmet to date should have fallen out of their chairs by now! Lets give them a second to sit back up…

OK, on to some details…

The ear caps were produced in cold cast aluminum. The cold casting process adds real aluminum in micron mesh
form that’s dusted into the molds. Then the molds are back filled with a 50/50 ratio aluminum powder resin mix.
The outcome once buffed and polished is a perfect metal finish. The stalk is also done the same way but
also features a solid aluminum reinforcement within.

The rage finder top has also been done accurately to the ROTJ as well. NOTE the 3 lines in the clear portion
of the RF underside.

The bucket itself is white gel-coat fiberglass.

KEEP IN MIND… In these particular pictures that are outlining the scratch detail in close-up, it does
distort the size and shape of the scars in proportion to the size of the helmet. You can see in the full helmet
pics that the hand etched scars are much more subtle in appearance. This is still a raw and unpainted bucket.
Once painted however, it will give the appearance of accurate screen worn damage.

Wow

Very Well done. Do you have name for this bucket yet?

I must say WPK for an ESB guy you sure took care of us ROTJers. :D

As a member who is constantly frustrated by all those who crap on the RotJ bucket, and all the sculptors who subsequently make their helmets in the ESB likeness, I have been watching the progress of this project VERY closely and with great anticipation. All I can say is that it is about friggin' time! We have needed a decent RotJ for so long it isn't even funny. I mean, lets run down the list...

DP Standard - crap
DP Dlx - Too small
MH - Too small
MSH – ESB
MSH2 – ESB

I might have missed a few here and there but you get the idea. So, just the fact that a Jedi specific helmet has been produced is a HUGE deal to me. I, of course, expect all you TRUE RotJ costumers to be lining up. :D

The icing on the cake is that not only is there now an RotJ helmet available for those who want to make an original RotJ costume (non-SE), but that helmet is one of the best helmets we have seen to date!

I'll go on record saying my initial impression is that this helmet is better than the MH, MSH and MSH2... Am I a bit prejudice because it is RotJ? Oh yeah! But I still think there has been more attention paid to detail during the making of this helmet than on any other helmet. We simply keep getting better and better. To me the only step left beyond this is someone coming up with a real helmet and casting that. Any professional thieves up for a trip to Japan?

Here are a few of the things that really stand out to me:

- Inclusion of the three rods in the rangefinder. Will anyone EVER see that detail at a con? No. And that is EXACTLY why it is so cool that it was included. It is the details that only WE would appreciate that set a great helmet apart from a good helmet.

- Physical damage. Again, this is a HUGE RotJ feature that I have never seen done before. Yeah, DP tried it with the Dlx but that was a nightmare. This is how it SHOULD have been done. Very simple really. Just LOOK at the real helmet and mimic what you see! Why couldn't you have done that almost 10 years ago, Don Post?

- Warpage. Again, another key detail that separates the RotJ from the other helmets and a detail I have never seen attempted before.

I am sure there will be more once I have one of these helmets in my hot hands, but those are the things that really have me excited right now. Again, to sum it all up, all I can say is that it is about time us RotJ fans had something to cheer about.

:p to all you ESB lovers. ;)

What do you mean :p ? We had ours first! ;)

Honestly though, this helmet is absolutely stunning. I honestly can't wait to get my greedy little hands around one of these. :D
