RF LED KITS - Thanks!

Bobo,

Whazzzup dude! Hey, I'm FINALLY getting around
to testing out my lights, but I can't seem to
download the manual. Any chance you can email it
to me again? I'll PM you my new email address.
Yes, can you say PROCRASTINATE?

Bobafettish: Yeah they're just CR2040 batteries (3Volt). You can buy them at Radio Shack or any other electronics store!

The model is in here:

Maybe in Canada, but not in the U.S. (atleast not in Indiana). I went to three different Radio Shacks and they told me that they do not even show it in their inventory. I also tried a few other places that sell batteries and the closest they have is CR2032's which are thinner. Has anyone else found a U.S. source for them as my battery is dead?

Speaking of the battery...which side goes
up and which side goes face down? I still
cannot open the link to the manual.

Thanks for the links, Bobo, as I went to the mother-of-all battery stores today, Batteries Plus, and they don't stock them either.

Link #1: $3.95 + $2.99/S&H = $6.94/battery :(
Link #2: $7.00 + $5.00/S&H = $12.00/battery!
Link #3: Doesn't even show them in their inventory :facepalm

If you can get me a pack of them for a rate less than that of those in the links, I would appreciate it as I love the lights, but my one and only battery died prior to my first con of the summer.

Hey buddy, sure I'll grab you a couple batteries if you like. I think they're $2.50CDN + tax. I doubt the shipping will cost that much either. So how many would you like?

Ten, please. I'd prefer to have an overstock of them than none. PM me with the total and I'll PayPal you.

I haven't kept up on this thread, but I have to make a comment regarding the green light under the RF.

I really don't think Webchief's photo is showing a green LED or light source under the RF. Remeber the RF bottom is some what opaque. I think what you are seeing the there is just the reflection off the helmet.

Though, the green LED on the RF bottom certainly make for a cool custom addition to the RF.

Is a DP 95 rangefinder the right size for a Mystery Helmet with a RA stalk???

Sorry that I haven't kept in touch with this thread in a while but....
Bob, I know that the RF's in both are almost the same size, just a little differences between both making the Mystery Helmet RF top just a little bit larger than the DP version, in just some areas, but noticeable if you're picky (as I am).

I used the DP RF top with a Mardon's stalk and it did the job for me well!

Can't say that I can afford to spend any more money on this project, but it looks like you recieved alot of orders.

In the spirit of giving back to the TDH community, that has been so supportive of your product, how about a tutorial on how to make these ourselves?

Look at it this way; everyone here who wanted one has probably already ordered one, and you will still get lots of orders from people that don't want to attempt to make their own.

C'mon ... please ... I'm just a poor bastard with a brand new baby and a mortgage, trying to make my Boba dreams come true. :cry

I hear ya man!

I have access to all the materials needed to make a board, but I don't have much knowledge when it comes to desinging them.

Hehe, well..it's pretty tough to fulfill your request guys! I mean, I'd be basically giving these away!? ;) I don't think it'd be fair to the people who bought these already, don't you think?

Bobo

If hes not making them any more guys go to radio shack, thats where Ive gotten all my LED's and lights and switches. If you got the know how then your cool if not the ask the guys at radio shack. Thats what I had to do and they looked at me stupid at first but in the long run I think they were more interested in it then I was.
