    Retiring from the "GMH"

    Hi everyone,

After having posted my latest thread 'GMH News and Updates', it really occurred to me that my plans are often a little too grandiose for my two handed abilities. Since the GMH arrived on scene, it has virtually dominated me. Therefore the time has come to simplify my life a bit. It's time to pass on the torch.

The simple fact is, I have way too much going on to do the GMH justice. It keeps getting me into trouble lol It would likely be a much more manageable task for someone who can concentrate their focus on the GMH itself.

If you are ready to rock these (or feel you can handle the demand), send me an email at fettpride@fettpride.com and we can certainly have a chat about it. Now would be a good time with fresh molds. Of course, any candidate will need to be approved by Art, and possibly a gentleman's agreement set between you. There will be a buy out involved (molds and mold masters) to be negotiated.

To anyone with a current order, rest easy. This won't be an ultra fast transition. Your order will be filled by yours truly before the transition. There aren't that many as I've stopped taking orders for these again anyway.

I feel this to be the fairest avenue for the community. For myself.

    Best,

    Chris

It takes alot of character to know when something is just simply overwhelming you man!

Whoever gets this mold will be nothing short of pleased I'm sure! Hell, I saw a Roto GMH go for around 300 bucks on eBay just the other day!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this but I completely understand where you're coming from! You have to do what's best for you of course, first and foremost. I was thinking just the other day that it must be a monumental task for a single man to keep up with demand for these things. I recall you were thinking of doing enlarged and ROTJ variants of the GMH. I assume they are now off the table too?

    Retiring from the "GMH"

    Thanks Jodo

Wolf, thank you for the support as well. It's been kind of a catch 22. Before I could even consider this, I first had to get it under control. I'm old school enough that finishing what you start is paramount. But now that I'm there, I cant let it get out of hand again (the most important part to Art and the rest of the folks here).

And you are correct, in that plans for any 'altered GMH's' are now officially off the table. That's not to say that at some point I may still do an ROTJ movie specific. But it'll definitely be sometime down the road. And it most certainly won't be in the GMH genre.

Chris, while I am disappointed that you are stopping the GMH, I know you will make sure that it will go to capable hands. Also send me a pm about the RF circuit if you could.
    Thanks,
    JC

Ah, I understand. I guess that would just open another can of worms! Well I guess I'll be among the last to get a FP GMH! Thanks for completing existing orders before you hand it off and I look forward to getting it! Hopefully the post-transition GMHs will find a capable steward in whoever steps up!

    Ooh, exciting!

Whilst I am sad that it has come to this I'm grateful that this item ever happened at all and so my thanks for that and for letting it go in such a way that it might continue. Continual headaches and stress are no good to anyone. I could imagine how you'd end up sick at the sight of this. All he best.

    Retiring from the "GMH"

Everyone, please welcome Bill (ASOK) as your new GMH distributor.

Bill has done an excellent job with the FP Budget legacy and I'm confident he'll do nothing short of the same with the GMH legacy. Please join me in wishing him the best in his newest endeavor

This transition as mentioned above won't be immediate (as in right this second). But as soon as he receives the molds I'm sure he will make the announcement to when he'll be taking on new orders, so please have patience with us while we make this as seamless as possible.

A big thanks again to Art for the opportunity to bring this awesome helmet to the community. Though I'm sure I'm not alone wishing it had been a smoother ride

Truly momentous! Asok, you will have a customer right here for a GMH when you're ready to start casting! And Chris, thanks for bringing this helmet to the masses. Both of you are some of the biggest assets this community has!

Hey Chris, sorry and glad you are retiring from this helmet... You deserve a break!

    Welcome Asok(Bill),
I have a question, will we be able to buy separate part to the GMH?
as my GMH never got a RF top and I'd like to get a nice one with clear parts as well.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Chris,

I'm still waiting for a GMH I paid for back in 05/01/2012. I'm not sure if you marked me off your list when I took over KaanE's spot in the orginal run. Please get back to me with an update. Thanks!

I also sent you a PM.

Well, THAT'S embarrassing. What a way to end the line, huh?

I do believe you're probably right. After having sent you one I must have marked you off. I do apologize. We'll just have to do something about that ...

So does this elude to the possibility of a new FP helmet, down the track one with even closer linage, mabey even a 1st gen cast, from possibly the original PP2helmet?
    That would be exciting
