I'd like whatever is best for Bobamakers stuff. Will the one with the small battery fit in my rangefinder, and how long will it last for trooping?

I originally made these to fit the hollow DP rangefinders, but have gotten them down to just under an inch square. I have never had a BM rangefinder, but I have been told by some of my past customers that they fit perfect. I have also been told that they fit in Asok's. We used an earlier version of my board for the JB Project, which used a FP topper. I think some mods were needed however, Spideyfett can chime in on that. I have since trimmed the board down just a touch, so it may be a better fit for the FP topper. I am not sure of the exact battery life, as I do not troop. I have used the same set of batteries to test all the boards I have made, and they are still going strong. The 9V version should even last longer.

These do fit inside TF's RF topper, however a bit of tweaking will be necessary like squashing the LEDS down into the board. The suggestion is to pull the LED legs apart like a diamond shape (bow).

Hey Shiv, yeah they are sweet, had one on my FPH, but sold it with the lid as a set. I did not use it as I had to lower it by hand, hoping to get one of manuels remote rf set ups and will need the lights then.

They should. FP designed his new topper to fit my board. Both version boards are laid out almost exactly the same, except no battery on the 9V. It comes with wires attached, that you simply run down the stalk, and connect a 9V inside the helmet.

Parts are finally in. Had a delay due to the storm we got late last week. For those that are using TF's toppers, he is sending something to me to help modify the boards a little, so hopefully they drop in without you having to do the tweaks. Hopefully everyone is ok with the wait. If not, I can just do the best I can based on the pics.

well i finally found my old rf blinky the other day and managed to wrangle it into my new tf topper then you come out with this new hotness and i'm all impressed now i definitely need to go paint up somebody's jango helmet to have the money to buy this and all the other sweet jango stuff that's coming out right now.

I bought one early 2009 I think it was. It wouldn't fit in my FP toper, but I was able to get a topper made that will hold the board. It works great. The battery should last quite a while, unless you walk around all day with the RF in the down position. Another tip: when you store the helmet or put it in your storage tote, make sure that the helmet or the stalk can't move into the active position. Your battery life should last a very long time.

It's very handy having it self contained.
