Question:Buying a kit helmet?

Best thing to do is NOT buy a kit from ebay unless its from manofwarstudios...but he doesnt sell helmets...only reputable ebayer for Fett stuff that isnt garbage. Asok and fettpride both sell great kits Asok does cold cast fettpride does fiberglass...all dependson your budget and how accurate you want to go.

Ok cool. Not to crazy about the accuracy related to Boba as I'm just going to do a custom paint job on it any way.

Thanks for the info guys!

This is how I did mine. You can glue the bottom of the range finder stalk to the range finder (See left side of the photo) Or you can bolt the 2 together (See right side of of photo)

Yeah that worked (after I trimmed the stalk to fit because they clearly were not made by the same person and didn't fit together at all) but how do I attach it in the mount on the side of the helmet so it swings up and down. The guy mentioned something about a spring and screw but gave no help in what to do with them.

Turns out I actually bought the exact helmet in the link, trust me it wasn't worth it. It was under poured and had a crack and his customer service as far as answering questions is terrible. Good thing I'm good with a dremel and have smooth cast.

The way I attached the stalk was to thread the stalk with a tap and use a short machine screw.

So I would have to thread the stalk and drill a hole through the side of the helmet, run through the bolt into the antenna? Any other methods? I've never threaded before and would hate to screw up my only stalk.

Tapping the stalk is easy. You can get a cheap set at harbor freight, and I would also get some wd-40 to use as a lubricant to make tapping the hole go easier.
