    Aug 27, 2010, 11:38 PM - A question for the 501st #1

I am in the beginning stages of getting my first build started. I love the look of the ESB bucket but I don't like the blue flightsuit. On the other hand I like the overall look of the ROTJ outfit but the bucket seems a little plain.

I was wondering if the ESB hero bucket worn with the ROTJ suit/armor is 501st acceptable? In the SE of ROTJ Boba is wearing the ESB bucket with the ROTJ suit while mackin on the ladies. Then when he draws his weapon on Boushh he's in the ROTJ bucket.

Don't get me wrong...I am very much a Star Wars purest...Han Shot First! however.....for the sake of costuming and keeping things screen accurate it would seem that little continuity mistake should be able to work in my favor yes?

I'm doing an SE BF and I've got it cleared through our Garrison costume liason to go to the next level when I get it put together for Legion approval. He's been doing this a while so if the SE BF wasn't accepted I'm sure he would have mentioned something before I started. The SE BF is a legitimate part of the Star Wars world and not just an expanded universe idea so I think you're good bro.

If I'm wrong I guess I would like to know as well. Any other thoughts from some one with an SE BF Legion approval?

the SE fett is totally fine, it's probably the most used boba in the legion, but esb is making a run for it in the past couple years. hopefully things come back around to rotj again someday, maybe... it could happen!

yup although look at the threads, there are more differences from the ROTJ and SE Edition, like number of ammo belt pouches etc...
but yeah SE Fett is 501st acceptable.

I have a 501st approved SE Fett. But so you know the 501st only really has a ROTJ and an ESB Fett they dont have the title for the SE yet once you get it approved your BH# will be for a ROTJ Fett. My GML said when I got mine and it read "ROTJ" and not "SE ROTJ" that he was working on getting the SE stuck in there also, So sooner or later they'll get it worked out.

Thank you for the clarification. I did notice some of the other differences in the SE Fett such as the ammo pouches. I'm still torn between the "OG" ROTJ Fett and the SE Fett. I suppose it will all be decided once I start adding paint to the bucket. Thanks again for all the help. I am so glad I decided to join the TDH community!

Woodman...I suspect you'll be receiving a PM or two from me as I continue gathering parts. You come highly recommended!

yeah the elastic sides look alot more accurate, but the sole looked a little too thick.
