That's really looking great! Did you sponge that silver on there? It looks thin and spongy just like the original!

No it just layers of misting the to get the larger drops it pushed a thin slither of plastic in to the tip of my air brush and it spits a bit

Capacitors are wrong rating but I finlly found some of the corect vintage ones (and at a good price)

I just use a cheap duel action brush with a small compressor (with tank and moister filter)

gotcha I had a pache dual action with small compressor...just was a little impatient with it I guess

Thats about the same as mine , , they can be tedious but the results are worth it and you can use such a wide range of colours

That is the same brush I use it's a VL as long as use keep it clean it will last for ever.

What paints/ paint colors are you using?

Done a bit more work on the face , its a bit ruff but it will come together when the ears and visor go in

Just got some nice brass cheese heads in and some sweet hex bolts , and some ubber accurate gaffa tape

Got the upper cheeks painted
Pretty happy with the colour it looks green then it looks blue in some light,

The colors are all spot on, maybe except that pinkish color is too faded? I know this is your test paint for the GMH helmet, I said it before and I say it again: AMAZING!

I was unsure of it at first(is it to blue is it to green) it looks so different in different lights but I guess thats the trick to that colour

I don't know what type of camera you have but if you can white balance it, you can make sure that the colors look the way you want them to in your pics. Again, great stuff, I love these threads.

At the moment Im using a broken piece of junk , I do have a good camera but I need to get a card for it
but ill look in to doing that, thanks

This is after 6 colours on the back panels, Ive more fine tuning with the green and bit of over spray to do but its the most of the back panels done


doesnt look it in the pics but theres actually 4 colour under the green and silver , 2 greys, a chrome and green,

Added another level of depth to the back panels

Well Ive mocked up the interior and I think it looks pretty good Im yet to add the scratchs on the out side but I do intend to ,,

Id like to know what youl think of the interior

dont know if its the angle but the visor looks a little wide, the color looks great though inside

Thanks , (Do you mean looking at it from the out side?)yeah the visor may need to be re-trimmed I just did that very quickly

trimmed the visor down , looks better now

Ive basicly finished the painting on this , I just need to finish the RF topper and then attach the ears and cut out the key slots n its pretty much done,
However I can decide weather or not to add the cut marks or lease it or to add a MQ1 with the dental files?
