    For people with beards

I have a long goatee (about 4") that sticks out the bottom of the helmet I'm trying to make, my question is does anyone know of a solution to this problem BESIDES SHAVING lol?

Is there some kind of head warmer/ninja mask that doesn't get godawfully hot?

    Tie it around your ears?

Put a rubber band around it or something like that.

I wear a "bally" under my helmet, maybe that could help.

Yeah some sort of headover would do the trick. Under Armor has some good ones.

Cool thanks guys, I was actually hoping that under armor would have something, at least I know their products won't sufficate me with heat.

Cranky: lol it's not quite long enough to tie to my ears, but I can fold it up and put it in my mouth....but then I have a mouth full of hair

I will try and dig out a photo of what the screen used Fett used.

Nice to talk with another member of the facial haired community, quite a splendid front rig you have there too if you don't mind me saying.

I think the screen fett used something along the lines of a nomex hood like fire fighers wear, it possibly might have been made out of the same material as the sleeves on the vest and the collar piece. I'm sure you would sweat to death in that though, why dont you just tuck it in under the collar?

    Yeah...it ribbed like the neckseal.

    Maybe LSFU can make one?

A balaclava is about the only solution. You can't just tuck it in because every time you look up at all it pulls out, trust me I know. My van **** varies in length over the years, right now it's about the same length as Lifeburn's goattee and at times has been long enough to pull up to reach my forehead. The only other options other than a balaclava would be either a beardnet (a hair net specifically made for beards, it hooks around your ears) or to braid it and fold it up into a smaller size and wrap it there. Personally I think I'll go with an underarmour balaclava but if that gets too warm I'll definitely just scrounge up a beard net.

Edit: grr goofy censors....that'd be vandyke but as two words

This is the one you want. These are awesome. Just remember itīs the one called Heatgear... They do make Coldgear and unless you live in Alaska (or Norway for that matter) you donīt want that.

The screen used balaclava is cool, but maybe not that helpful for hiding a beard.

Hey, great! thanks for all the info guys. And cr4nky, that could definitely work, just need a white one though. Also from the picture it looks like its made out of 2 pieces so I might be able to just cut the top piece off.

I have a goatee and I wear a painter hood. I bought it at Lowes. It was about two bucks! It is beige and pretty thin an comfortable. It is like a balaclava. It also wiks sweat and keeps my helmet lining from gettin funky. It fits great under my neckseal and looks good if people look up under my helmet.

Itīs not a two-piece, but made to make the opening wider by pulling it down on the lower part.

I know they exist in white as well, but I think thatīs the Heatgear version (you can see Mark Whalberg wearing it at the end of "Sharpshooter").

I doubt it, but if you can afford to ruin one you could try soaking it in bleach.
