Painting tips for ESB helmet

Hi, I just bought an unpainted ESB helmet from Asok and am now ready to paint my bucket.

Can someone please help me with how and what color to use to paint on the helmet? Should I first use a metallic spray paint then once dried go over with a liquid mask those parts where I need to show exposed metail.

I may have access to a friends air brush in the event I do not should I hand paint the remaining portion of the helmet or use a spray can? What colors of paint should I use? Can I pick up these paints at a local hobby shop?

Asok also gave me a face shield to install myself, does anyone have any helpful tips with how to install? Any tips also with installing foams pads inside the helmet for a better fit?

This excellent thread has the whole colour list pretty much covered. It's a sticky at the top of the helmet section.
