Painting a bucket with traditional oil paint and brushes...

Greetings everyone, I'm quite new to this forum so let me introduce myself, I'm Jeroen, a 36 year old professional artist (painter) from the Netherlands. If you want to see my paintings: http://www.jeroenvanvalkenburg.nl

I decided to paint my bucket (a DP 95) with traditional oil paint and brushes. Here are some pics of my progress. The scratches are loosely based on the movie originals, so not very accurate. I didn't want to copy everything exactly and give my helmet a character of it's own.
I'm looking forward to hearing your reactions.

Nice! That gives your helmet a very unique look. First impression was: Hey that looks like a painting. I personally love the dent most!

Not cannon, but a very nice touch for a helmet. I like it.

Quite a refreshing interpretation of the Boba helm, it's a work of art in its own right.

    Nice work.

Thanks for your reactions! I'll post some more pics soon when I've added some more layers of paint. First these have to dry, which takes very long with oils!

I also did something really 'unorthodox': I made scratches in the visor...I always wondered how Boba could have such a perfect visor when the rest helmet was so damaged. Here's a pic where you can see the scratches:

That is fantastic. Nice to see that different methods still yield great results.
