New Star Wars 2015 Force Awakens BOBA FETT Deluxe Helmet

Easy.. it snaps right off. There are three screws holding the base of the stalk together and one holding the range finder itself together. The range finder also adjusts in height as well.
I just got finished removing the visor. That was a bitch. Had to dremel down the inside to get to the glass and snap it out and I'm not done yet. Gotta go back and sand it down by hand. Going to use a 3mm acrylic black welding screen as the new visor. It looks rough in there but once I smooth it out it will be nice. Don't know exactly what method I want to use to attach the visor and some suggestions are welcome. Going to be prepping it for paint and LED's here soon.

How hard was it to cut out the visor? I just got mine today and I am probably going to attempt it tomorrow. I have a dremel, hopefully that makes the process easier. I'm trying to debate cutting to visor out or doing a crappy tinting job. Both terrify me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please please tell me how to disassemble this helmet, don't wanna risk breaking it !!

Use a flat head screw driver or something else thin and flat to pop the ears off. Once the ears off tug on the front and back halves until they separate. If they are stuck together good you can use the flat head in the center seam and gently work them apart.

Thankyou! I can get started on it now, I'm considering cutting out and reshaping the flat cheek parts. But I've not found an adhesive that works well on vinyl, any suggestions?

Well these helmets aren't vinyl they are some sort of hard plastic. Personally I don't think there is any need in cutting out the cheek parts, they are fine as is IMO. This helmet has a pretty nice shape to it.

Yeah I guess you're right, now I've primed it, it looks even better ! Thanks for your advice

Nice bucket, I just recently finished one myself using the 2015 Rubies helmet. Actually was inspired by this post to go buy one to rebuild. Have a new stalk not yet in have to wire it up first and visor is now in. Still need to add the kill stripes and do alittle hand painting. But really pleased with the helmet sofar.
