New Star Wars 2015 Force Awakens BOBA FETT Deluxe Helmet

Easy.. it snaps right off. There are three screws holding the base of the stalk together and one holding the range finder itself together. The range finder also adjusts in height as well.
I just got finished removing the visor. That was a bitch. Had to dremel down the inside to get to the glass and snap it out and I'm not done yet. Gotta go back and sand it down by hand. Going to use a 3mm acrylic black welding screen as the new visor. It looks rough in there but once I smooth it out it will be nice. Don't know exactly what method I want to use to attach the visor and some suggestions are welcome. Going to be prepping it for paint and LED's here soon.

are you going to change the rangefinder stalk? it's too short.

I'll have to disagree with you! If this is your first go at a Fett build with prep work, filling in seams, sanding, priming, painting a $30 investment in this bucket isn't going to break the bank. In my opinion it's better than a scratch build and it'll give someone an idea on how difficult a helmet paint up can be if this is their first time.

Also good for Fett fans who have nice helmets who might want to pick one up give it a repaint and rock it at Halloween parties of places they wouldn't want to bring their Anime Fan or Fett Pride lids!

One of the better parts about this Target helmet is that it has almost no seams! Unlike the Hasbro, the dome is one piece, and the front and back plates clamp around the lip on the bottom of the dome. The seams between the front and back are then covered by the ears, so it's a really good beginner helmet!

A bit of a size comparison as well for those who still aren't sure if the helmet is worth it. Shot is next to my animefan Fett helmet. The RF stalk extension cast I made and a size comparison of the ear and range finder piece. Ignore the warped mandibles on my animefan helmet, the recent heat wave did that and I'll be fixing it this coming weekend.

Here is the cast one piece new stalk with metal rod for a bit more support. The extended look definitely brings the entire look of the helmet a bit more to where I want it. A directly replacement for the standard one that comes with the helmet. If anyone is interested in one, feel free to let me know.

Hey everyone! I was planning on getting this helmet for an upcoming cosplay. I see that the visor on the helmet is clear, which is obviously not super authentic looking. Would anyone be able to fill me in on how they went about replacing the visor with a tinted piece? This is going to be my first-ever "self-modified" cosplay piece, as I don't really have $250 to drop on a new helmet, but want to try to make it as authentic looking as I can. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I bought probably one of the last Boba Fett Deluxe helmets in Los Angeles last night from Target. I've always wanted one of these and I think it's a great base to start with. The only thing is that the Rangefinder is missing on mine. Do any of you have a spare or know where I can get a replacement?

You might want to contact Animefan, he sells Boba Fett helmet kits. Tell him your situation and see if he can sell you the rangefinder and stalk only. I'm not sure if the stalk will fit the Target helmet though. Here is his thread.

I passed on 2 helmets I saw at Target missing the rangerfinder and swivel ear piece. You are going to pay more finding a replacement than the actual helmet.

Or you can build one yourself from one of the tutorials on this site.

Some of you guys are being too hard on this helmet, this thing will rock for a trooping helmet.

Having had a white 95 DP helmet, MSH, MSH2, and Mystery helmets in the past I have to say this helmet is pretty good for what you get.

Is it as accurate as the ones I mentioned???

Heck no, but this helmet will rock as a custom Mandalorian and any one looking for a budget not hung up on movie accurate details, Boba Fett looking helmet.

I just picked one of these up at Target, of all places. It was the only one there, but I had to grab it. I plan on repainting it, though. It's actually modular, as you can see in the photo. The plastic isn't bad. I wish it was a little more sturdy. But, all in all, it's alright.

You bought it Target because that is where they are available from, I think it is a Target exclusive.

Who cares where u bought it ? - mod it - paint it - switch out the visor and stalk and u have a nice troop able helmet for cheap -

The elitist attitudes is the main reason I retired and stepped away from the 501st- and I was one of 13 FOUNDING members of my garrison
