New member, started thinking about this today

The Golden Gate Garrison (GGG) will be in the San Jose Vietnamese New Years Parade today. So if you are in the area, say hello. There are a few Fett Heads in our garrison that are also members here.
Also, a few of us will also be at WonderCon on Feb. 22-24 in San Francisco, if you're interested. Bubba Fett is doing a sign-up for WonderCon to meet for dinner, unfortunately, I'll be in the Chinese New Years Parade at that time.

Have fun building your costume. I started with a "low cost" version (which I'll convert to a Mandalorian in the future) and decided that Boba Fett is what I wanted. Only drawback is how much $$$ to invest.

I'd love to stop by today, but I'm at home since its Mom's birthday.

I'm not sure how my 22-24 weekend looks, but I'll see.

Silver Fett, I always thought it would be awesome to be in the 501st. But I've heard from a few places that it's a little hard to get a custom costume in there. I would probably end up joining the GGG, just because I am not yet allowed to take my car with me to stockton. I will next year though, so that would be something to think about.

Yes, thats true. They most likely wouldn't allow a custom costume. Custom mandos are always great costumes to look at I think.

I've been thinking alot about what cool gadgets i can work into my bucket over the past few days. We all know that a "real" Mando helmet would have 360* vision. While I can't exactly make that happen, I have decided that I want to mount a rear view camera and screen in my helmet.

I figure i can drill a small hole in the back of the helmet, and mount the wireless camera on the inside, as well as the 9v power source. the reciver should be easy enough to conceal somewhere in my flight suit, and i can run wires from it to a larger powersource elswhere on the suit. that gets the recording out of the way

for this to be useful, i need to be able to see what im recording. The reciever would have an output going to a small LCD screen that i can mount towards the bottom of the visor, for easy reference. I'm still searching for the ideal LCD.

the inspiration from this, other than cool mando features, was this video I saw about making spyglasses. The camera used in the DIY video is nowhere to be found, which is why i'm going to end up going with that wireless kit (unless a better one presents itself)

One way or another, I'm going to make this work. I just thought it might be cool to share now though, since I can't work on mine just yet.
