I think you mean Ocean's 12 since that is where they steal the egg thing. And if you remember correctally they got caught when they tried to do it at the museum. They stole the real thing while it was being transported. I some how doubt the Fett helmet is being transported in a backpack on a train.

Further I think the oppterunity to "Ocean's 12" it would have been at CIV. Really how hard would it have been to just swap out one of Justin's or Jason's helmets for the real deal? No glass and minimal security. No one would have noticed until it was time to pack the thing up. Call it an oppterunity lost my friends.

Ya know, having the entire costume out there in the open, I can only imagine that a lot of fans ran a "gettaway" route through their head at some point during the viewing. I was in the room when Mr. Fett was being put into position, but prior to the unpacking it was clear that the helmet was arriving first class while the rest of the costume arrived crated. Here is a pic that I snuck while I was in the room.

So they just brought the whole shebang in in one huge crate??? That's pretty wild!
His face reminds me of a sideways version of Bele and Loki from that old Star Trek episode.
(Yes, I like Trek stuff, too. . . ;))

WOW..now that is a cool pic!!

So where is the magical helm?

 Ya keep comin up with them ;)

Ok, small update. Let's call it a "pre- update". I'll be posting a full write up tomorrow.

The short of it is this ... while the helmet was in route back to me from Spidey's house, it had an unfortunate "accident" in transit with our uber reliable United States Postal Service. I took a few pics of the damage. To say the least, it was crushed. But not beyond repair ;) I took a few pics of the damage that I'll post with the official update.

The good news, is the project is still a go ! :cheers I wasn't sure for a week or so while I worked on repairing it, so we figured it best to keep our mouth's shut until it was clear as to if it could be repaired properly or not.

The molding process begins this coming week ... it should take me the better part of the week to do this between everything else that's going on. I've also had a couple of other commitments that were pressing as well, so the postal blunder just set everything back a couple of weeks. I just finished a couple of customer projects that were promised, as well as an interesting little "300 Spartan" project/collaboration with our very own "Seeker". There was a deadline involved, and it was promised quite sometime ago ... so I had to drop a few other "Balls" per say to get make that a reality.

So, stay tuned ... pics to come, I'll even take some pics of the molding process and make them avilable later on the site. Good time to do a casting tutorial. Although that could shoot me in the foot, teach the world to recast this new helmet? (just kidding)

Thanks for hangin in there guys and gals. And to those waiting on earpiece masters ... they're still comin. You know who you are ;)

Heya Guys !

Sorry it took so long - AGAIN  Everytime I turn around something else grabs my attention ... I think I've got adult ADD !!

So here are the pics I promised from the end of this last week, broken helmet, broken heart :cry

No bigee ... the very last pics shows what it looked like about 4 days ago, repaired and on it's way to a finish coat before molding commenced YESTERDAY !!! Whoo Whoo !!! :cheers

It doesn't look as bad in the lics I'm sure. HOWEVER ... it was BAD. Mainly because it was briken at the most important places, and in the hardest places to fix in th efashion that it was designed or intended before the post office whooops !

So, more updates to come. I would have liked to have these ready for the DC goers to wear, but I think I've blown that now, there wouldn't be enough time to paint one up  However, I may be able to produce a casting before then, that someone will be able to take with them there for the TDH croud to check out ... that's what I'm shooting for anyway !

Thanks for everyone's patience ... I'm workin as hard as I can given the circumstances and chaos ;)

Wow! I just noticed that you are in Oregon too(y)

Is there any way/time that you wouldn't mind a visitor? ;)

Thanks for the Update, at least it's fixable.
